Hi Catwoman
The bars are rolled up quite tight but the tension throughout the fabric is uneven despite me keeping the fabric as straight as possible while attaching it to the frame.
(wanders over to sew and sew looking around in wonder ......)
Thanks

HI I wonder if I could join the club please?
I've recently re-discovered my love of cross stitch after about 10 years.
I've just finished one of the Silhouette Designs - Early Shift and am doing the Chinese Version of the Lavender and Lace Design - Spring Angel.
I'm part way through, and I will post a pic if I'm able.
Hope to chat with you all soonSt. Francis said: “A man who uses his hands is a laborer. One who uses his hands and mind is a craftsman. He who uses his hands, and his mind, and his heart is an artist.”0 -

(Great site though, isn't it):o
Sorry I can't help with the frame question, I use a lap frame with plastic clips.
lancs_lady - Hi, welcome to the club :T
I have the early shift design half finished in a cupboard somewhere. Have you stitched it for someone in particular?

Hi,
Can't wait to see pics,
you need a few posts to be able to do links but if you cleverly disguise it (i.e. write it with an extra space in or something) we'll figure it out (or re-post it for you).

Worse still I can't use one of them at all as it is for curry, and I can't eat anything spicy as it burns my tummy.
you winWhat a reallly BAD pressie.
Well kids are dropped off at the childminders (and touch wood I've not been phoned to get them becuase they are sick this week).
Been to dermitologist again as my itch (oldies will remember) still hasn't completly gone so it can't have been completly baby related. He's now worked out (cause we can see it properly now the original scaring has cleared up) that I have Urticaria. Which is basically Stinging Nettle Rash without being stung. Linky if anyone wants to read any more info.
Basically been told to just take an antihistememene every day to prevent rather then cure.
Now........ You may need to sit down for this........ I am going to............. pick up Troutbeck.. post a piccie and actually spend 4 solid hours stitching. :j:j
loads to do - mainly blue today!
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
I'm almost finished a snow leopard that I've been working on for the past couple of months. Only problem is finding the motivation to get the last bit done. Since finding MSE, I'm spending more time tidying and decluttering. Not a bad thing I suppose.
Also have a stash of kits that I really must sort out and make a start with them too.Sealed pot Challenge 2012 #1559 - Target = £200

well I visited the sales today and spent the grand sum of £1.75! last of the big spenders! Although I had a £10 boots voucher, i was overwhelmed by the half price stock and nothing jumped out at me as "must buy" so I didn't bother. Will save for the minute and buy something I really want - perhaps some nice shower gel when its a bit quieter.
Resisted the temptation to look at phones in the 0range (concession) shop (well in h m v) as there were 3 sales assistant looking very bored and I knew they would pounce on me the moment I stepped near.
Also resisted the temptation to buy a snood (not in the sale).
The sew and so sale might be a different story though....
my blackwork keyring that I posted about earlier is coming along lovely and I will post a pic a bit later0 -

Am going to try re-starting the Gorjuss kit in the daylight - don't like the weird coloured aida it's on tbh and when I marked it up with the blue pen it's made it look even weirder - am tempted to start again on a nice shiny white piece like it is on the picture on the kit. Instructions say to stitch with one thread doubled up which I am also finding weird, and the actual chart is hard to read. Is such a nice picture but the whole kit is not making me smileMortgage £119,533 going down slowly

dorastar, this is the first gorguss kit ive ever done and i found the looped method funny to start with but the back of my work looks so mch neater. i marked my adia out then started at the hair, then the face, the dress and down to the tights. mine is on an off beige coloured adia but i think it really suits the thread colours the kit is done in. i hope you get into yours and are enjoying it soon.SPC~12 ot 124

I've seen a few of your piccies (very impressive too I must say), and I've seen some of you seem to have a marker on your material, can I ask what this is for please?St. Francis said: “A man who uses his hands is a laborer.
