they are water soluble pens that rinse out easily, that we use to makr the squares on the adia so its easier to mark your stitches out without constantly counting the squaresSPC~12 ot 124

What a fab idea!
At the risk of sounding stupid, how do you mark them on your Aida? I mean, do you do them every 10 squares of fabric or something like that?St. Francis said: “A man who uses his hands is a laborer. Hi,
Can't wait to see pics,
you need a few posts to be able to do links but if you cleverly disguise it (i.e. write it with an extra space in or something) we'll figure it out (or re-post it for you).
I've just opened a Photobucket account lancs-lady if anyone wants to have a look. Theres only 2 piccies in it at the minute, the Spring Angel - what its supposed to look like when its finished - and where I'm up to at the minute with it.St. Francis said: “A man who uses his hands is a laborer. i mark mine the way the pattern is marked as you said usually its every 10 squares s o it creates a block pattern for you to work from. i MUST stress these are special pens from craft shops for making adia dont try it with a normal felt pen and it a good idea to do a little test mark on the corner to make sure it rinses out easilySPC~12 ot 124

Thanks for that. I've just been looking on Ebay for them, they seem a really good idea and something I've never seen before.St. Francis said: “A man who uses his hands is a laborer. One who uses his hands and mind is a craftsman. He who uses his hands, and his mind, and his heart is an artist.”0

I'm finding it very easy to resist the sew and so sale. Nothing really appeals to me. I wouldn't mind stitching a couple of the Pooh designs, but I don't want them enough to justify even the half price cost. Oh well, I'll save my money until I find something I really want!
Having got African Sunset out I realised I'd done two huge sections of the sky in the wrong place last time I picked it up. So I've spent this afternoon unpicking it which drives me crazy! (And it's the second time I've done that, I did loads wrong a couple of months ago)
I really just want to chuck the whole thing in the bin, I'm so frustrated with it :mad:Cross Stitch Cafe member no.800 -
Gave up on Gorjuss (not very patient here today) went to shops to buy some more white aida (which is the colour on the kit but not the colour they've put in). Went in shop and they didn't have any aida but did have kits and one kit just had plain white aida in and all the other gubbins were missing - probably pinched by someone. So I asked the manager if I could just buy the aida since the kit was missing and she said no, I could just have the aida since she'd have to write off the entire kit anyway. So I am going to settle down again and start my Gorjuss girl again on my free shiny white aida. Very mse:p

Hello everyone
I used to cross stitch all the time, but 3 small ones put paid to that. Now my DD1 is 9, she is into crafts, so I am planning to do some stitching again this year so that we can do it together.
This naughty thread has just encouraged me to spend £40 odd in the Sew and so sale, not all for me at least
Looking forward to chatting with you all.MSE GBBO 2015 - Go Alvin!0 -
