Hi everyone. I have been so busy with Christmas preparations and work (our busiest time of the year) that I have only had time to read the posts periodically so first resolution for 2012 is to try to keep up.
Virtual hugs to all those who need them.
Thanks to everyone who posted Happy Christmas messages. And of course a big thank you to Chickywiggle for starting a new thread.
This is the first day I have had any "me time" so will have a look through my stash and decide on what I want to stitch in 2012. I know I want to do another Shepherd's Bush stocking (and possibly 2) in spite of the fact that the last of this year's 3 stockings was only just finished in time to be posted. And my list won't just be cross stitch0 -

Welcome to all newbies :jPS Your views on this kit please kitty litter
I like it but not sure I like it enough to stitch it.....
I love it! That's just my kind of kit. If it was a little cheaper I'd add it to my stash
I keep looking at the tanto thread organiser you asked about. I like the idea of it but not sure I'd be able to keep it good condition for long. I can knock things over just by looking at them :rotfl:
I think I'll stick to ziplock bags, much safer for me to use:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

I bought Celtic Summer in 2003 and admittedly I didn't start it until 2010, but I've hardly touched it and I've got Celtic Spring and Celtic Autumn to do yet too:o
I'm hoping if I follow this thread, I will be inspired to do more...as long as I don't spend more time reading and no time sewing:p
The Celtic ladies are fabulous designs. Over many years I have stitched Autumn, Summer, Spring and Noel and rotate them on my walls with the seasons. Here is a picture of Autumn. Hope you do find this thread gives you the inspiration to finish yours.

To the more advanced stitchers out there. Is it better to put the detail (like back stitching and couching) in as you go on bigger projects or at the very end. Am thinking of putting the detail in as I go, so I dont get too lost at the end. Just wondered what everyone else does??cross stitch cafe #90 UFO's 6 to finish in 2013, and loads of new kits to boot

As long as you've done all the stitches around the back stitch, it doesn't hurt to do it as you go... and at least you can see the picture developing... Just as long as the backstitch goes over the top of the sttiches
Some people do a page at a go (for multiple page patterns).
I don't really think it matters0 -

I do mine as I go along, it's nice to see it all forming as I go, gives me a sense of being nearer completion.
I don't mind backstitching all that much but the thought of doing it all at once at the end isn't tempting lolCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219.
