  • Mags-cat - looking forward to seeing Hard Frost framed. Good luck with HAED - cant wait to see your updates. Are the needle threaders you are looking at the coloured plastic ones??? I have been looking at them and wondered how good they are. I have the silver ones but I am forever snapping the thin wire especially atm as I am stitching with three strands.

    FOS - love the cushion.

chicky - love the christmas cupcakes.

sweetcarer - hope you feel better soon and manage to get plenty of rest.

caroline - looking forward to seeing your progress. Good luck with the stitching.

Just for a bit of a discussion - what is the largest area of stitching you have had to unpick before giving up on something. When I thought I was going to have to unpick the half page of Sleeping Beauty I could have quite happily taken a pair of scissors to it. :o I didn't want to put it away in the cupboard as it would have most certainly become an UFO and that just wouldn't do now would it girls :p:rotfl:

Right - no more rambling on - off to have some dinner, then bath and then ................stitchy time :j:j

Just need to complete the back stitch on this, and put the name on. Don't need it until November, and wanted to start my afghan so it has been put away for a wee while....

Have to head out shopping - DS1 had the CHEEK to grow too fast over the holidays so the school trousers which fitted him in June are too short now! Going to have to stop feeding him or something lol :rotfl:

how DARE they grow, it is SOO inconsiderate!!! tho saying that my nearly 4 year old can still fit into 2-3yr clothes lol. makes it tricky when DS2 is in 18-24m. may as well combine their wardrobe as half the time i dress em in each others by accident anyway.

well my sofas are STILL sat in my kitchen. am fuming. as eventually listed em on ebay witha start price of 1p but a note saying they MUST go this weekend 25th/26th august and i'm not bothered about waiting for auction to end if you want them message me and i'll end auction early and give them you for free.

someones bid on them so i sent a message (as it was now about 7pm) and said "did you want to come tonight as if so i'll end it early" to get the reply "i can't get tonight but will definalty pick up by the end of the week". WHY can people not READ. Or why not message me before bidding and say "i won't be able to collect untl xx is it still ok for me to bid".

so have messaged her basically saying "i suggest if you win you collect Monday or i'll be cancelling the transaction."
I'd not mind if they were out the way but the only space for them is in the kitchen which means whenever we want to get to the fridge/ tumble dryer/ slow cooker/ tin opener/ george forman we have to move them!!!

FOS I'd only stitch one cupcake per card. Have you seen the detail on some of the proper card designs you can buy!!
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

The chart is from issue 1 from cross stitch collection - it has it and few other things that all match - small keepsake frame, big picture (which I converted into an 40th anniversery stitch for my parents) and a ring cushion. Below picture of the anniversery stitch.

I am not great this morning really sore head - dreading it will go to migraine - don't really feel like work - but one of has to work.

Sorry for my moans - have a good bank holiday everyone who is off.

    Kind wishes

    sweetcarer ;)

    morning all
again lovely photos and updates, sweetcarer hope you are soon feeling better and headache doesnt turn into migraine
did a bit of titanic yesterday afternoon thought id got a bargain at the car boot, but it turned out not to have the chart in, i got a pack of small pieces of adia along with a large cover kit, its a bunch of red tulips in a striped glass or vase but i thought it was a real kit as its quite big and all the threads are already sorted on a card, on closer inspection its from a crossstitcher mag and chart must have been in the mag, does anyone recognoise it and know what issue number i should be looking out for please?
also got a welsh dragon kit, bro in law is from wales so thats him sorted for christmas
    a tapestry scissor case
a pack of 'easy grid' for converting pictures or photos into charts, not sure what id do with it yet but it looked useful
a couple of charts the kits have been done so its just the charts and left over treads to matchup. a floral one and an indian dreamcatcher one, a box full of dmc threads and a small plastic box with some threads already in wound onto cards, a cross stitch collection mag and a load of spare cards. i only spent about a £5er so really pleased
