Looking forward to seeing your photo. I did this poem for my MiL many years ago and she always had it on display. Sadly I didn't take a photo.......

No cross stitch managed today. Not sure where the day has gone in fact?

Was going to do some this evening but started watching We need to talk about Kevin which was one of those films you had to pay full attention to....

Just been hunting for the book but I don't have it so reserved it for free from the library instead of paying £4.99 to download it for my kindle....

I have too many books (and too much cross stitch). I wonder if my numbers have come up tonight on the lottery and I can take six months off work ??:rotfl:

This may sound daft but trying to give myself enough time to do this, I would like to sew something for my OH for our wedding anniversary - I think its paper but would like to do something that reflects us as a couple but nods towards tradition etc. Does anyone have any ideas (just a kick in the right direction for something original to get done would be a real help).

If it helps he's Spanish (navy)

  • Hello! I'm looking for a good (and free) program that will convert a photograph into a chart, does anyone have any recommendations? I fell upon the link on the first page but the site is down which is very unfortunate, I want to get started over the bank holiday!!

It may not be the sheer size of this HAED that finishes me off...it might be the size of the needles!

Because it's 18 count I've gone down a needle size and am using size 26. They're fiddly!

Does anyone use an automatic needle threading gadget? I've seen a couple on eBay and I wondered if they were any good. (Not the silver coloured hand threaders with the wire loop that you push through the eye of the needle).

So much for my lie in this morning. :( A combination of my cat being a pest - wanting attention/wanting food, me forgetting to switch off my alarm, the neighbours kids returning from their night out at stupid o clock and banging on their door to get in (i hope they have horrible hangovers!) and the strange cat that keeps visiting and unsettling our cat visiting early this morning and sneaking up our stairs  all mean that I've been up since 7 ish and am looking forward to my afternoon nap already!

I'm hopeful to get some stitching done today. Haven't done any in ages. :( Not sure what project I might do but will keep you posted! and hopefully post a picture later :T

PS does anyone know what issue of Cross Stitch Card shop featured a free Lickle ted card kit holding some mistletoe?

That's high on my list to stitch today :j but I only have one copy of the chart and I hate working with a chart without marking it off as I always go wrong!

Do you have access to a photocopier/scanner. It's perfectly legal to make a copy of a chart so that you can scribble all over it :)

I've got an unopened packet of size 26 easy threading eye cross stitch needles. Never tried them myself, but if you're interested in trying them then pm your address.
