Does anyone have any small pieces of 18 ct red aida that I could buy please. I need a couple of small pieces for some keyrings but the pieces I bought from Cross-Stitch-Heaven are 16ct so the designs come out too big forthe keyrings.
Regards
Emma
I've just checked my fabric stash & I have a piece of bright red aida, which I'm 99% certain is 18 count. Eyes are tired, so using the fabric count tape measure & I'm pretty sure it's smaller than 16ct. It's about 12x12" so you should get quite a few key rings from it. PM me your address & I'll pop it in the post for you. No charge-happy to help out a fellow stitcher!Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Next quick question...
Thanks to nmm, I have found the chart I was looking for..now I have discovered it appeared in Cross Stitch Gold. This was not a magazine I ever bought, so did anyone on here buy it and remember the issue number. From what I can find online it was around 2008.
Thanks again....xx;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)0 -
Never mind about searching for magazines, as my super hubby treated me to the chart, and is taking me out tomorrow to get some threads to get it started. Altogether it takes 49 colours, but the chart is so clear (even viewing it online) that I was able to work out which ones I need for the A is for Apple and the smaller alphabet and we are getting them tomorrow...
Can't wait to get it started :jare available....xx

Evening to all
Back from our hols in Kent a day earlier than planned due to not fancying driving home in the pouring rain tomorrow.
Not the best holiday - didn;t get off to a great start though. We were meant to call at the Craft Festival at Donington Park on the way but we couldn't get near. Very disappointed but then I read on Faceb**k later in the week that it had turned into a great big farce and refunds were being issued so at least I didn't waste any money. DH says I can go to the Harrogate show next week if I want and he will have the children. Has anyone been to this previously and if so is it any good?
Not much stitching done this week - aiming to get the couple of coasters that I have started finished ready for the craft fair in about a months time and assess what i actually have and need to 'make up' into saleable items.
ENjoy the bank holiday weekend everyone
Emma
Sorry to hear your holiday was disappointing.
I used to go to both Harrogate shows (there is a bigger one end November) and enjoyed them both but I can't say what they are like these days. This one is at the Showground which is on the outskirts of Harrogate so better for traffic. It is both a Quilt and a Stitching Show (both of which I love). You can download a list of exhibitors and workshops from this website which might give you an idea if it appeals to you or not0 -

i did treat myself to a stitchy kit on holiday, im doing it for my mums birthday its mostly backstitch its the quote from the bible about footprints in the sand and jesus carrying you in times of difficulty, ive just got to press it and mount it before taking it round tomorroe so will remember to photo it before i wrap it.
Looking forward to seeing your photo. I did this poem for my MiL many years ago and she always had it on display. Sadly I didn't take a photo.......0 -
