OK - here's Hard Frost. Trip to the framer's in the near future!
Just needs framing now by Mags_cat, on Flickr
And now I'm wondering exactly what the heck have I let myself in for with the HAED?!
Oh my god by Mags_cat, on Flickr
I've never had a piece of aida as big as this before....I'm so glad I went for the magic guide pregridded stuff. It's already making this much easier :T
So : The first 6 10 x 10 squares. Only another 1514 10 x 10 squares to go
6 down, 1514 to go... by Mags_cat, on Flickr

FOS. Thanks for the pic of your cushion, it's lovely!
Mags. Hard Frost is lovely, really like it. As for the HAED design, all I can say is oh my life & good luck with it
I love the design and look forward to watching it progress.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
Mags_cat - Hard frost is simply beautiful
As for the HAED...well...um......at least there aren't too many colours in it *thinking positive*It will look stunning when it's finished.

:rotfl:I know....there are only 11 colours plus the metallic filament.
I got the aida from Sew n Sew. The largest piece they do is almost table cloth sized! The original piece was 100 x110cm.0 -
Thanks for all your comments re parcel. I have e-mailed the catalogue company so await their response......
Counting down now to leaving office for bank hols weekend :T
I have been a bit naughty this week and bought a few kits on ebay including a Lickle Ted Kit (Lickle ted sitting by a bridge), a snoopy kit (snoopy sleeping on his house) and that Tatty Ted kit I posted about the other day.
However I have lots of projects on the go at the moment and really do not need to be starting new projects ..... but .....
In yet more off topic news, my cat is rather unhappy at the moment as there is a strange cat that is sneaking through our catflap and eating his food. Does anyone have any tips (1) how to stop this cat visiting and (2) how to cheer up our cat as it is making him really miserable.0 -

The Feliway diffuser is supposed to help relax cats & make them less stressed. http://www.pet-supermarket.co.uk/productlist.asp?SearchString=Feliway
As for the cat flap, if your cat will wear a collar, you can get magnetic cat flaps & collar things. http://www.pet-supermarket.co.uk/products-Cat-Mate-Electromagnetic-Cat-Flap_CN154013.htm
Or even ones that will only let your cats through(if your cat is microchipped). http://www.pet-supermarket.co.uk/products-Sureflap-Microchip-Cat-Flap_CN200001.htmCross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Thanks to all the girls in the Cross Stitch Cafe! You're all fantastic! :A0 -
Louise and Shelly Thank you for your kind comments about my cushion. Stitchery is all back stitch so really easy and I enjoy it as a break from xs. Actually I'd love to have the time to do more of both (and more sewing, quilting, patchwork, applique, hardanger etc - you get my drift)
Magscat Hard Frost is simply stunning. I love all of the John Clayton Circle designs though I've only managed to find time to stitch one of them. I love the colours in yours and I'm sure it will be much appreciated. As for the HAED I am speechless. Are you planning to take a break when you get bored/frustrated or just want to finish something? Will there be much bs to do once the xs is fiinished?
Magic guide evenweave Cross Stitch Heaven sell pieces up to a metre (so may sell bigger pieces) though it is currently out of stock. The biggest piece they advertise is 40 x 61 inches so huge!. While I was looking at their site I noticed that they have added Sparklies hand dyed fabric (which I have bought and love) and also followed a link to a great site which allows you to see Mirabilia, Nora Corbett, Passione Ricamo, Joan Elliott and Dark Side of the Moon designs on a wide range of hand dyed fabrics. Beware - you could easily spend lots of time doing this (or is that just me?). You can also upload your own images. Polstitches has its own version of this type of function but of course the fabric choices are only theirs
FE Can't help with the cat queries. Will be interested to read what you actually stitch at the weekend - so many choices, so little time.
We have visitors on Sunday so Saturday will be cleaning and preparation, Sunday cooking and entertaining and Monday clearing up and relaxing. But I do need to fit in some sewing - I was given a bag of assorted mending by my grandchildren (torn seams, pockets etc on school clothes) which I have realised need to be done this weekend before the new school term:eek:
But hopefully I will fit in a bit of XS as well:D0 -

Oh that was nice of them - I can think of better gifts though lol :rotfl:
My family think because I cross stitch then I should automatically be great at sewing/mending...but I'm just rubbish at it, can't use a sewing machine to save my lifeCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. Yay nearly the weekend. I had the morning off today as new front door was being fitted. Managed to do all the housework and started sewing together a cardigan I knitted that has been finished about two months.
So my plan tonight is finish the cardigan, then crack on with David Bowie.
I haven't had much stitchy time lately as been working between 45 and 55 hours a week  Had good news today though and I can drop a day at work. Currently doing two jobs, one at 19 hours and one at 22.5 hours plus the pub! The 22.5 hours are dropping to 15 so I get a whole day off:):) mmm not sure how to spend the time
;);)
Is anybody going to creative stitches and hobbycrafts at Bluewater in two weeks time?Cross Stitch Cafe Member Number 44:rudolf:Cross Stitch Is For Life Not Just For Christmas :rudolf:0
