  • Glad I could be of assistance Maria ;):p.

Well after saying there would be no cross stitching for awhile, it dawned on me that it is MIL birthday soon. Just over a week away! And as I stitched FIL card, it will be expected that I do the same for her card. So I let DH choose, I was thinking tea pots, cupcakes, birthday cakes, handbags, or dragonflies. But no, DH has chosen a meerkat with her initial.
There is a family joke on DH's side that his mum stands like a meerkat, and for the last 13 years Meerkats have featured in some celebration every year for MIL. Be it a meerkat garden ornament, meerkat card...
And you thought my brother and Mr Potato Head was weird! :rotfl:

Thing is, I am not even conviced she is that keen on them. At least my brother is a huge collector!

Well, I best get an early night, I am booked in for a heart scan tomorrow (Echo Cardiogram) to decide once and for all what is causing my heart rate to reach tripple figures.
    Night ladies,

Firefly, my3girls & ladymarmalade. Welcome to the Cafe! :)

Firefly. Love the Snowmen, look forward to seeing it finished. 'Together' is cute!

FOS. Nice progress on the stocking. Couldn't see your Stitchers cushion though. 'IE couldn't display the page' apparently.

Maria. I'd stitch as many cards as time and patience allows :D Like you say, you can always use the leftovers up yourself .

AM. Hope your heart scan goes well.

No stitching done here yet this week, I miss it! :( Hubby is thinking about going out in his Kayak so I might get some stitchy time later.
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:
  • Thank you Maria and Shelly, the scan is this afternoon, so trying to take my mind off things till then by stitching the Meerkat. So far the initial is done, which is a start! lol
Hope you manage some stitching later Shelly.

    Hey Girls,

    How are you all?
I can't believe I've been AWOL for so long. Had a tough year (seems many of youse have too) and everything fell by the wayside. But last week I got the needle out again and got stitching.

Here is my Passion of the Dance (many many thanks to LOUISE)

I started it back in March, but converted to Anchor threads (cause i had them) - which once I got to the skirt DID NOT blend!!!!
As I wanted to give it to a good friend I reordered DMC but then put it to one side, then it was August and I got my finger out. DONE!:j

I forgot the XS finish buzz!

Now I have just ordered material and threads for the Emily Peacock Welcome chart from Crossstitcher, a wall in my hall is the perfect size, so I think this will take a long time to complete. There'll have to be a few projects on the side too.

Looking back there have been some amazing finishes.:T:T:T

AM. Hope all went well today with your scan.

Benny. Love your Passion of the Dance, very nice.

I got some stitching time today, first time this week. Hubby had some outside jobs to do so I caught up on Doctors while stitching :j
