<<hugs sweetcarer>> families can be really hurtful can't they.

will backstitch "if" in red tonight and see what it looks like.

must print off my tweaked flylady list and see what I can tick off. (kitchen is partly done, bathroom done...., living room - well you know the phrase shovelling snow while its still snowing....................)

    Hi Ladies,
Sorry I have been AWOL again. The black dog had me cornered for the last few weeks, but I have finally got the referral I have been waiting for to get rid of it. So I just have to stay strong until I see her.

On better news, I have managed a card since last time I posted, though this was just before the above

    siscard.jpg

It was for my big brother, and he loved it. Although, he got some serious ribbing from his mates, as it is a very good likeness of him! :rotfl:Yes, he really does look like Mr Potato head!

I haven't had chance to look through all the posts since I was last here, so I will have a read through this week when I get chance.
But I did have a glance at Shelly's - loving the progress :T and I love that saying, I have been heard to say it a few times in this house!

Right off for a catch up,
    Have a stitchy day!

Nmm - your pictures coming along well.

Shelly - is this finished now apart from the worrding? If it isn't then you must be very close - well done.

AM - glad you've got your referral, that's the first step to feeling better. Your Mr Potato Head is great, I really like him and glad your brother liked him.

Chicky - I've never heard that snow expression before, but I do like it and it is appropriate for so many things.

Going to try to get my fabric on the frame today. Have decided that rather then try to stitch the 11 books side by side on fabric measuring 48" by 26" I am going to split them up into 3. A 3, a 5 and a 3. This makes the fabric more manageable and easier to frame. The largest piece of fabric will need to be 26" by 26" and the other 2 will be 18" by 26" - I think. Need to double check before I get my scissors near the fabric.

If I did decide to stitch in one piece 48" by 26" how would I attached this to my frame. I use Siesta bars that are 23" by 10". The 10" isn't a problem as this is where the fabric will wrap around and then move up and down as I stitch but not sure how to attach a piece of fabric wider than the bars themselves. Any advice gratefully received.

ohhhh dear - I know this isn't the freegle funny site but some people are just SOOO stupid you need to share with the world:

i offered something earlier. TWICE i sent my address to the collector who kept saying i was sending him blank messages.

    but it's ok "
I got your address off the directions so I will leave from xxxx now so will only be 10 minutes or so and I will beep 3 times...I am driving a xxxx".

dream on love.......... i've looked - those directions won't send you to my house (about a mile away)

    next message:

"I am stood by the post box on xxxx"

thats nice, I'm at home with my kids - a mile and a half away.

Here we are! Thanks to Chickys instructions on p1 I can upload pics again! (yes, that shows how long its been!)

This heart was just a nice size to take to my craft fair stalls with me. Will make it into a nice hanging thing as a pressie for someone I think.

Cat In A Bag - Just too cute not to do. As i've been working on evenweave for a while I'm struggling with aida for some bizarre reason! It just feels like cardboard.

And where I'm up to since picking it back up on Thursday...it's going to be a long, slow process! Not letting myself get a HEAD until this is done though!

I loved this in the magazine, it's a nice easy stitch with not many colours or backstitchs but I got bored!

So, those are my WIP's along with 2 that are as yet unstarted - John Claytons 'Sydney' as I couldn't afford the Thea Gouvener one! And the one of our cat.

Hmm..... could be my 2013 challenges as well as 2012's!

Chicky - as they say "there's nought as funny as folk".

BEG - that's coming along nicely. Are you pleased with it?

ejs2311 - I agree about aida feeling stiff when you've been working on evenweave. Your WIP list isn't too bad, and at least you are still working on them.

    AM. Love Mr Potato Head!

    beg. Nice progress.

ejs. Nice wips, the cat in a bag is especially cute!

Chicky. Hope you got your freegle collector sorted.

Thanks for the comments on my progress. I'm really enjoying stitching it.
Ailsb. Got a basket of flowers to stitch next to the loo, a chequer board design on the floor and finish off the backstitching before I get to the wording.
Not sure how much I'll get done in the next 2 weeks as hubby is off work and likes to go out and by the time we get home and had tea I'm too knackered!
I'm not in a hurry to get done, it's for me so no time limit.
