Spent a happy evening tidying up threads, putting them on bobbins and into new thread box with a lid (old one was snapped and kept spilling its contents everywhere)

So today is a mega busy day - church, park fun day, rugby match so hoping to sneak a few minutes stitching in between everything!

I have! Mainly christmas designs, I think, but I did stitch a wedding design on pale blue lurex aida and something else on bright red lurex aida. I love it & it gives a more special feel to things. Have a look in my album if you'd like to see some pics of my sparkly stitching. Some are on evenweave ('Dear Santa...' was and I think both 'Spool Tree' designs were)

I like sudoku (and super sudoku - where there are letters and numbers). I also like enigma and mosaic. Never heard of hanje though.

I love Enigma puzzles but WH Smiths have stopped selling the Enigma puzzle mag :( instead they do include some in the Beyond Suduko puzzle book so I suppose I forgive them :rotfl: I have tried Hanje puzzles but I'm not very good at them. Its kind of similar to Enigma in that the end result is a picture but you follow the numbers on the side and top of the grid. They tell you how many boxes in that line need to be shaded in. I do like doing puzzles and think this will rival my time today with my cross stitch as I bought a few puzzle mags yesterday while in town. I've also discovered the competitions forum on this board....

If the cross stitch wins, it will either be a bear with flowers that I might stitch or a cat knitting!

**louise** - your pics are lovely framed. So is your wallpaper!!!!

    Nykied - off topic.......us.....never......

Caroline - i had the mr men ABC whether i still have or not is another thing entirely. I've got a polar animals ABC I was going to try to e-bay if thats any good? it came with an afgan but I decided not to use it.
or I have just started a dinosaur ABC that you could adapt for an afgan if you'd like a ;)

more off topic (sorrryyyy). Anyone have an atom splitter as apparently I need to split myself into 3 (4 would be nice as then I'd have a bit of me for ..... me but 3 will mean enough for everyone else!! can you tell what sort of morning i've had so far!!

ohh letter suduku reminds me of the book i got - sh!tedoku.
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:
  • morning all

lovely framed pics louise and £55 for both was a bargain, the only place i know near me who does framing was going to charge me £90 to frame and mount this

    236.jpg

so i did it myself with 3 kids i cant afford £90 to frame one picture!!!

would love to have some done propally though think it always looks so much better

sorry chicky my atom splitter is currently at the menders lol

re olympics, the sport doesnt bother me, but i did really enjoy the first part of the opening ceremony

right off to the farm soon so i suppose i had better get dressed

  • Ugh it's raining. How rude!

I can report I have nearly finished "mending" Old McDonald. I will get him in frame today and post a pic. I will be pleased if he looks ok, because I've really gone off stitched since he was wrecked by "the blue pen debacle"!

    Enjoy the sun/'limpix/whatever else you're doing x

AM. Lovely card, I'm sure your FIL will love it!

Louise. Love the newest framed pieces.

TMIF. I'm sure your mending of old McDonald will look great, look forward to pics :)

As for me. Had Olympics on tv all day yesterday and really enjoyed it. Got stitching out after dinner and didn't put it away until after 7pm but got hardly anything done, was too busy watching the sport :D

Also I have decided on a couple of changes for the sprinkle design. I don't much like the border, it's not bold enough so I'm going to attempt to design my own or see what google comes up with.
Also I really dislike the wording....
'If you sprinkle when you tinkle, be a sweetie and wipe the seatie' It's the word 'seatie' that I really don't like.
I am going to change it to the other wording I have on another kit, 'If you sprinkle when you tinkle, please be sweet and wipe the seat'
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:
