    Cross Stitch Crazy arrived today:

Free Gift - Charity cards. I like the cards, Not keen on any of the designs if I'm honest but it's a good thing to make if they can raise some money.

You've Got Mail - I went off Somebunny designs a long time ago, it's cute but I won't stitch it.

XStitch Quickie - I like these little fairies, they will make good cards, I need to sort out which ones I have missing from the collection though.

Celebstitch - Ayrton Senna. I have no idea about Formula 1, I gather he died in 1994..if I'm honest the chart doesn't look like it's going to look like him when it's finished

50 Teatime gift ideas - plenty there that can be used for cards

October must-haves - Some nice stuff on here, I like the ad for 'Cross stitch kind thughts' I like little phrases. Does anyone use a laying tool? It seems rather time consuming to me :o and at £20 for those ones advertised (they are pretty though!) I would be likely to lose the flipping thing

Cats & Dogs ABC - Cute and colourful

Craft Xtra - Diwali cards, don't know anyone I could stitch them for, I like the one with the fireworks though.

Poppy Set - I like poppies but wouldn't stitch this.

Ask the Angels - I like the stitchable necklace pendant which is recommended but think it's a bit expensive?

Red Riding Hood - Very cartoony and cute, and I can imagine a little girl would absolutely love it, it would make a great gift.

Craft Animals - Won't stitch these..there is a cross stitching sheep and bunny though lol:rotfl:

    Live, Laugh,Love - Nah

Grandparent cards - We don't actually 'do' grandparents day (I felt it was only started for commercial reasons and it would have cost us a fortune as until a couple of years ago we had 10 grand/greatgrandparents between us. Down to 5 now but we don't need one day to make them feel appreciated as we see them all the time.

Halloween - One or two I might stitch, I bought some glow in the dark tread months ago and have never had the chance to use it lol

Challenge Lucie - Some good little designs there - Hen party one is v cute, I could use the meerkat, swimming and tank ones as well.

Next month...oh flip.....that's all the Xmas stuff starting!!!:eek::rotfl:

Oh no, I am banned of buying more mags until I have moved but I am very tempted by the cats and dogs ABC and cute animals. Saying that I haven't touched my wolves for almost a year  I won't have broadband after this month (until after the move at some time in September) so I should have plenty of time to get on with it. Must take a before piccie before the lines are cut off.

    Afternoon all

Looking for some advice. I was wondering if any of you lovely peeps have ever taken your wares to a craft fair. I have booked a stall at one in September and I am now panicking that either I won't have enough time to make enough things to sell or that they won't be good enough. I also have no idea how to display them. I am happy to talk about this off board so please PM me with any tips/hints or advice you may have if you prefer to do this.

    Regards

    *Loves the Olympics*

Can't wait to watch it all - someone asked me which event I was looking forward to most....um....all of it!!

I will watch sports I don't normally bother about (ie. rowing) just cos it's the olympics. The ones I won't miss though are Athletics events, tennis, diving, swimming, some gymnasticts and cycling.
Only down side is OH is off for a fortnight so we will be out a fair bit :( (Need to sort the schedules lol)

DD's birthday party yesterday was an olympic themed one, there was only one person who refused to wear British colours and started arguing 'I'm scottish, I won't be part of any of that'...at a 5 year old's party? I was so annoyed  I consider myself Scottish first, British second but there's Scots in the GB team and if they are in British colours then that's how we support them. All this Scots/English stuff needs to be put aside if we are to be a team.

    Ok rant over.....sorry

Phew its the weekend. so pleased. :o Dreading Monday already! as with annual summer leave being taken now, it can only get busier :( but hey ho Cross Stitch Crazy dropped on my mat today so here's my review :j

    Wow factor on immediate opening
Not very excited. I think this is the issue I saw last month that didn't really appeal....

    Cover kit
Not sure I will stitch the designs featured on the card insert but useful for stash and guess will come in handy for another project. I think the threads are a bit dull in colour however. I think they are too pastel themed ?

The owl design on page 8, also the dragon fly and bird in bird cage appeal more and the dress design is pretty and would work well with the diet magnet motto I have.

    You've got mail
Probably a chart I will keep but don't think I will ever stitch.

    Page 16. Cross Stitch Quickie
This is cute. Would be handy for a gift tag.

    Ayrton Senna
    not for me.

    50 Teatime gift ideas

    Not sure about.

    One nighters
These are ok but I would have liked to have seen the A-Z of cats and also the A-Z of dogs.

page 26 - advert for trick or treat scissor fob
    I like this

    Craft xtra
    odd!

    Sew pretty
    No, don't think so.

    Story time
This is nice and will definitely save but not sure I will stitch.

    Crazy for Crafty Animals
These are cute. I like the ginger cat knitting :j

    Happy days
A possible stitch. Not sure... Like the love design. I also like the bead border on the Live design and the green border on the laugh design.

    Grand greetings

    I don't like these.

    Trick or treat
Don't think I will stitch these.

    Challenge Lucie
nothing appeals here. The meerkat on the bike is cute but not something I would stitch.

    Teabreak
I never really find the Buttons cartoon strips funny? Is it just me?
I like the Michael Powell Kit featured.

    In crazy next month
Christmas! nothing immediately appeals. I'm not sure about the Let it Snow design ..... something about it intrigues me...

Me too to all of the above :D

I love the olympics and watch as much as I can.

We have just been into town so I am quickly getting my pc/internet daily things done real quick so I can go put the tv on for the day.

After watching 4 hours of the STUNNING (esp 1st hour) opening ceremony last night and i've done a complete turn around on my feelings and have been tuned in since 8am, with a timetable for later. Don't think I can watch and stitch but should be able to sort DMC stash recently purchased. :)
