Agree with the olympics being impossible not to keep looking at - am giving up all hope of getting housework, college work and stitching done for the next couple of weeks!
Today we have watched rowing, weightlifting, gymnastics and are now onto swimming and still the kids are cheering - didn't think they'd get into it as much as they have but it is a bit brill!Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly

This is the reason I have put Earth aside for the moment and chosen a simpler stitch. I'm loving it, gutted for the GB synchro divers this afternoon though
Speaking of the simpler stitch, here's an update on the fairies I started on Friday
I'm liking using the variegated thread for the borders, although it's more time consuming than stitching the actual fairiesCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. That's exactly what I was thinking!
Even I'm getting sucked into watching the Olympics & I hate watching sports. DH was offered a ticket to watch the swimming tomorrow through work, but it's the last day of month, which he CANNOT have off (every month for 14 years!), so couldn't go. Shame, as that's one of the events that I think would be good to see live.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Here's the update of "keep calm...", 4 colours, lots of block stitching, ideal for when watching Olympics0

Perfect! It's looking great, too. You'll have it finished in no time. What to stitch next? You've got loads of stitching days to go, still.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Loving the designs Louise and JSC1 - but how do you guys stitch so fast? I'm very jealous. I should have asked you to stitch some things for my craft fair. I would have a stall full in no time. Really struggling to find the time here but I can only take to sell what I have made.
Night night all
Emma
PS Been watching the olympics too - cheered on Beccy Adlington last night as she's very local to me. Can't wait to see her in the 800m. SHame about the divers this afternoon though - I had to close my eyes sometimes. Far too close to the board for comfort!!!Baby daughter born Jan 10Baby son born June 110 -

I've got a couple of UFO's that need attention, think it will be this one though. I've already stitched the middle horse and jockey, but then missed a row out so went wrong on some of the trees in the background, got frustrated and put it back in the cupboard - I'm sure I can hide it without unpicking though0
