    Morning ladies

THrough all your extensive research, does anyone know the cheapest place for Anchor threads please? Willow fabrics is cheaper than Sewandso but wondered if you'd found anywhere cheaper. The multi packs on fleabay are no good as I have 25+ colours already out of the 50 in the pack.

    THanks

Have you looked at Across Town Stitching? Their thread (both Anchor and DMC) is 40p a skein. Postage is £1 if you spend up to £3, £1.50 if you spend up to £20 and free if you spend over £20 (p&p info can be found under the 'order' link on left hand side) Many of us have used ATS and have had no problems at all.

Sorry to repost and quote myself but I just realised I hadn't posted a link to ATS :o

Hi guys, i'm finished the RM :j Sorry to post and run but will catch up later, i promise :) Special thanks to Mrs Moneypenny for the anchor thread, i couldn't have finished without it :T

no problem at all i was happy to help, its frustrating not having the supplies to finish a project and it was only going to sit in my stash.
    the finished piece looks wonderful

    love the christmas stockings

have been good the last couple of days and done my promised (to myself) minimum 1 hour stitching on titanic i should finish the main body of the ship on the 2nd quarter this week so will be changing from black to put some sea detail and an iceberg in before moving on to sheet 3. but there is an unbelievable amount of back stitch and couching involved once the X's are finished

have a lovely day all (with hopefully some stitchyness involved

Soulie - great progress with eagle. Glad the threads are on the way to you. Your postie is going to have to do OT with all those eBay parcels. :D

Thank you, and yep Mr Postie will have aching arms!
He brought my threads from ATS and this mini penguin kit that I won on eBay.
So YaY :T 150 threads to wind on to bobbins :rotfl:
I have also won this Tigger kit and this All our Yesterdays kits woohoooo. Lost out on a couple, but nothing that I was upset about losing out on so it's all good!

I'm going to stitch the baby penguin for my OH for next year's Christmas as they are his favourite animal. He used to think they were human sized until he met me and I put him straight, so you can imagine his shock when we went to the zoo and he saw one in the flesh for the first time :rotfl:

Going to pay off what I owe on my layaway at Cross Stitch Heaven then put in another layaway order for some hand dyed fabrics and other bits and pieces :D

Slowly but surely I am building up my stash again.
BUT, I cannot for the life of me find the box of free cover kits I had anywhere! Was going to sort through them yesterday to see which ones I wanted for myself and which ones to do for charity

I think this is the great wall of china kit clicky gildius please correct me if i'm wrong but i have one word WOW :rotfl:

That's the one! Oh man, it's quite daunting when you look at the whole thing!

That's also the website I bought it from the first time, but they never delivered, so be wary. I recommend looking on Amazon if you want it - that's where I got my one, from a British seller.

OK, here's the image - I hope it works!

Hard Frost - progress by Mags_cat, on Flickr

Coming on - more than 50% done now and all the fiddly little half stitches done in the horses and buildings, so should be easier from here on.

Ha ha that is so funny :rotfl: I was the first bidder on the Tigger kit and you outbid me ! Then I forgot the auction was ending so missed out on a bidding war with you :rotfl: how much would you have gone up to ?

I would be interested when you get the kit to know if thread numbers are listed. I have this kit but have mislaid the threads but the chart I have lists the Winnie the pooh thread numbers. If your chart has dmc thread numbers, please would you let me know?

In stitchy news, managed some more of my bookmark on the bus to work this morning. I am enjoying stitching it :T

Mags. Hard Frost is coming along nicely, I really like it.

I think postie has just delivered the erasable pens I have been waiting for :j
Though not sure I'll start the Tinkle kit today because I have been working on a jigsaw puzzle this week while waiting and it's nearly done so think I'll get that finished first.

Mrs.MP - looking forward to titanic update.

Soulie - love the new kits. Hope the missing kits turn up.

Mags_cat - love Hard Frost update.

gildius - noticed in the Chinese photo the monalisa name. I am sure that is the name that is on the threads/kit for Sleeping Beauty.

On subject of erasable highlighter pens - I picked up two today at Rymans and they were £1.79 each - Buy 1 Get 1 Free. Only trouble they only had the yellowy greeny colour - would have liked two different ones.

Had message to say that my 50 Anchor threads are on the way.

No SB stitched today so far. :(
