    FINISHED!!! and in time :)

Hubby did his usual last night and didn't come to bed till very late so I stayed up stitching in bed - sneaked it in to bedroom. Framed it a wee while ago as he is still sleeping - going to wake him up soon with "breakfast" in bed and give it to him then. The frame is not exactly wooden but I fell for it. Now I can get less pressured stitching done. Found my kiss by Emily Peacock (thank you granny!) and might even stitch it or I might gets some gridded (magic guide evenweave) 25hpi for Jo Versos floral garlands. So many choices and also I still have to complete my lavender vase hubby got me and my blue stitch at work. My stitching bug is all over the place.

Ok better show you a picture - hope everyone is well where ever you are

Well I'm back from my week in the Lakes. I have had a nice holiday and although I'm sad its coming to an end (back to normality on Monday), I'm very happy to be home. Nothing beats home comforts....

I see I have lots of catching up on posts to do here :j and I've come home to lots of birthday cards and what would appear to be THREE cross stitch mags so excited about opening my mags and seeing what awaits :T I'm also excited about opening my cards. From a quick glance on FB, I see that sew and so have uploaded some new kits so if i get any birthday money, I'm sure I won't have any problem spending it. :rotfl:

In the meantime, in holiday news, no cross stitch managed. :( I have however developed a bit of an addiction to the channel 4 show - Deal or no Deal and puzzling over sudoku themed puzzles (particularly the puzzle mag Beyond
    Sudoku).

Chicky - you may be amused to note that the only place in Ambleside that I could get free internet was to stand outside the cinema (typically in the rain!) and tap into theirs!! I had no phone signal in our cottage (which was frustrating). Most of the cafes/pubs that claimed to offer free Wi fi - didn't actually come up with the goods - seemingly because I'm not an 02 customer - my ipod touch didn't want to connect :(. Overall we have had a good break but spent quids on car parking and meals out and general holiday expenditure. Cottage was average/we wouldn't stay there again - it smelled (well the main bathroom did) during the early part of our stay which wasn't pleasant!!

I hope all our well. hugs all round. will catch up properly and report back. Hope everyone is managing ok with the rain epidemic.

lol ohh nooo FE. I noticed that in town today Debenhams or somewhere had a sign on the door saying "free 02 wi-fi". .... tho I am an O2 customer and I still struggle to pick wi-fi up in places.

Glad you had a good time tho would be interesting to know where your cottage was/ who it was through as my mum often stays that way in cottages so can warn her off. PM me if you want.
did i mention you can now go for holidays in my old student house?? I would LOVE to do that but tis pretty expensive as it houses 8. Still may have to do it just for the memories (or our stitchy weekend??)

Just a quick question how are the ladies doing with the really large xs from HK/China. Mt OH really really wants me to do one - but I have soo many projects on the go right now that I cant justify another.
On that note saw the exact pattern i needed to finish a duvet cover (ive lost the instructions) but couldnt justify the 70 price tag.. oh well
Apologies not been on much - decided to learn to ride and I keep falling asleep during stitchy time :(

    Evening ladies

Looking for a bit of advice please. After losing my outlet for my handmade cards, I have decided to make some small cross stitched items. I potentially have a place at an upcoming craft fair so I have something to aim for. I have keyrings already and thought about doing some magnets with plastic canvas, maybe some cross stitch cards that could also be gifts (like wedding or new baby) but stumped for other ideas. Can anyone offer any suggestions? Also, if anyone has any suitable charts or oddments of aida, I would be happy to borrow them etc.

    Regards
