Soulie and Ailsb - that is very rude of people to 'lurk' and ask, and definalty not to say thank you. lets hope they are lurking here and read how cross we all are!!.

Obviosly publicly free charts are different but am sure I don't need to remind people of the dangers of offering **wink wink** to lurkers/ newbies with the copywright dangers involved.
    totally agree
Ailsb I was beinginng to think it was just me who thought 50 shades of Grey was badly written. I couldn't get passed the 2nd chapter before i gave it up as a boring bad job. spoken to sooo many people who are obsessed with them (in fact I think they believe he is a real person lol) keep being told to attempt it again but erm.....NOO. and as far as the p0rn element goes I've read MUCH better!!!!
I will admit that I have bought other books of a *fruity* nature :rotfl: but I would be embarrassed to sit on the bus reading them (easier with a kindle :rotfl:) yet people will openly admit to reading about Mr Grey ??? and someone said chapter 8 is interesting so I flicked forward and indeed it is

I've finished Not Dead Yet but am back reading a true life prison diary type book that I started. Mr Grey can wait!

Soulie am tempted by the 15 in 2013 challange but they would need to be small ones - hmmm might have a think about that but not till MUCH later on in the year.
Oh I might have to join :j
Flat Eric: poll 1: DMC. I find anchor feels thicker (am i imagining it??) and maderia too wiry. I have bought anchor occasionally when the store didn't have DMC or I have fallen in love with a colour.

Poll 2: go in late finish early??

no stitchy news here. but my glow in the dark threads and marble blue aida (and new needles) have arrived. fabby ebay seller stitchitywitchity. good price, cheap postage and prompt delivery.

    I love stitchitywichity

Have found the red arrow chart Nykied sent me a while ago but does anyone know of any nice small 'inflight' plane charts before I 'go google' tomorrow??

    Evening all
thank you for your replies to my post last night. Helpfully my internet decided to drop out not long after I posted so that was that for internet browsing last night. I would probably go for dmc too although I do like anchor. I think dmc have the edge ?? for want of a better description??

Well thats me on my hols now. Yay. :o I did go into work early and I'm pleased I did because I got everything done that I wanted too - I didn't get to leave early but no matter, on hols and don't have to think about work until I go back :j

Time to plan some cross stitch projects :T

PS NMM - no magazine (supplement) pattern in my chart box. me = perplexed and scratching head as to where it is.

I think because we are over half way through this year already that we should wait until 2013 for a new thread, if anyone who wants to join in but doesn't use facebook, then I think a thread here would be good, but I will wait until November? before setting up a thread here also.
Maybe if we had our own little rules instead too it might be better, maybe 10 projects would be better?

hey peeps, here are my photoshop efforts, what do you think?

tight crop, could be printed and used as the invitation cover?

i might crop off the flags, and photoshop out the crown... that'd suit us better i think. humm, making me glad i havnt stitched it yet!

how about a "complete 13 challanges in 2013".

then you could mix cross stitch, cards, knitting, crochet etc.

i love it 23rd. you could easily print lots off and stick on front to make your own. print of wording inside and stick in.

We made all our own invites (antiqued scrolls - paper, tea and an italic pen).
order or service and menus were a5 cards with 3 pieces of confetti in each corner. italic wording on front, wording inside printed and stuck in.

will try and find a pic on facebook later for you...............grr they aren't on there. and the box is burried in the boys room.
