Hi guys, loving all the updates, no been posting but have been reading. I've managed about 50 stitches on Beautiful Dreamer with my sore/swollen finger, its so annoying as i wanna stitch
And for the people that cared about my doggie here she is enjoying the sunshine at Longlands Lake today :)

Glad to hear doggie is doing better, hopefully you have some better news yourslef regarding your finger - That would be the worst part of my anatomy to be in pain with :(

Well done on managing to get some stitching done (even while in pain :T) it's nice to see a bit of wolf appearing

I feel sad because Cross Stitcher used to be (in my opinion) the best cross stitching mag on the market. Now its just a run of the mill cross stitch themed craft mag with shoddy free gifts. I don't mean that to sound harsh but in the spirit of :money: (as a long term subscriber),

I have to agree, I subscribed for near on 10 years and I was so disappointed with the changes that I cancelled last year. I have kept an eye out on this thread for reviews but nothing yet has made me regret cancelling.

When I googled StoneHenge Xstitch, my earlier comment came up in the top 5 results!!
When I switched to images, for some bizarre reason Louise's multicoloured black work card was in the top 10 results!! :rotfl:

    Haha fame at last :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Love your work above Louise - remind me - how many hours a day to you stitch?? I'm so upset I have to go back to work tomorrow :( and that I haven't done as much stitching as I would have liked :(:(:(

It varies - depending on how much work or stuff I have to get done (I also run two websites which can take up a fair amount of evening time). In the last few weeks I have only been managing an hour, maybe two a day, but when it's a quiet week I can do 2-3 hours in an evening and up to 5 hours if it's a friday or Saturday night and we are just watching films and don't have to get up early lol

Sorry I can't help with your random question, I don't have a clue!

    Hi everyone :hello:

Back to work today :( and what lovely weather we have for it!

I've been following your posts, great work as always :T

I have been really rubbish, no stitching for me over the week. I got distracted by wedding stuff (Bought the bridesmaids dresses! Eek!) and started playing my game again on the computer and before you know it the week was over!

Need to get my behind in gear to finish Dad's fathers day cross stitch before Mum goes away so she can take it to him  Think I'll bring it in to work. It shouldn't (she says!) take too long as the design is quite simple and it's coming together quickly. Must remember to take a pic to show you all, I don't think I ever posted one.

Sorry to hear about the troubles you've been having with the Cross Stitcher kits. I have to say I haven't bought and issue since they changed it.

Speaking of magazines, I never managed to find a copy of Cross Stitch Collection with the butterfly fairy in it. By the time I'd got to the shops they had the July issue out! There's similar design in her new book though so might get that instead, although it's not like I haven't got enough projects lined up already! (Although I think that the butterfly and ladybird faries are unofficially on my list :P )

Flat_eric I'll have a look at your techie question, I know a bit about excel and I heard Open Office is similar. I've been meaning to download it so if you can wait till later, I can download it at home and have a play!

Hugs to all, hope you are keeping dry xx

  • Morning all. Lovely to see all the lovely pics and great to see doggie is on the mend.

I managed a little bit of stitching yesterday but not much. Me and my daughter walked to the pet shop with the dog yesterday to get him a bone, and we were so tired walking back, that didn't get much done! It took us an hour and half to get there and back, my daughter's trainers were hurting her feet so we ended up swapping shoes on the way back - good job we are the same size lol - but now I'm covered in blisters too. Was hard work at pump class this morning.

I'm getting a little bogged down with Winter Angel at the minute. I keep starting in random places, lose interest then do a bit more somewhere else so now I'm trying to be more organised and do one side at a time, which I usually do. I think its because there is so much skirt to stitch and a lot in white that it gets a bit boring. I need to do her wings but then I need total peace to do that, which is a rare thing in our house so thats been put on hold!

My daughter is currently working on a father's day card. Pretty random colours but she enjoys doing it so thats good. Will post a piccie when its finished.

I will try and post a piccie of Chop Chop from Moshi Monsters in a minute,. We have anew laptop so will see if I can get the camera to work on it.
