Wow, everyone's progress is great! I particularly like the Lizzie Kate alphabets, I might just have to go and research some more of her designs as I'm between projects at the moment... (I only have 1 UFO but it's a massive photo stitch of my dog who died and I can't face it)
Edit: I've just done some research but the Lizzie Kate designs seem to be be so expensive. Does anyone know where I can get them in chart only form as I've probably already got everything I need to stitch them.0 -
Most lizzie Kate designs are just charts. Some have buttons or charms included and there are a few with hand dyed threads also-which obviously bumps up the cost. The flip it's and snippets are cheap and quick to stitch. Extra value if it's something you can stitch more than once. Like a wedding sampler or one of the ABCs. I've stitched the Winter ABCs for myself then again for a friend.
Also a few free charts on her website. http://www.lizziekate.com/free.html

"Just a quick post to let people know that there is a Creative stitches and hobbycraft show at the new events centre in Bluewater Feb next year for anyone who is interested. Tickets are £6 in advance or £8 on the door."
Is anyone planning on going to this? I'm only 20 minutes from Bluewater so I've booked the Friday off work and ordered tickets for me and DH. He's looking forward to another day of Cross Stitch Craziness as he likes to call it!!
Bluewater is too far for me to get there. I am going to a stitchy fair at the Trafford Centre in feb cant wait I have booked the day off and going to buy some tickets at the end of the month. I dont know what the difference is between the shows and I am looking forward to it. Info can be found here:

It doesn't sound at all weird to me. I have at times caught myself thinking that it will be a shame to cut up a beautiful piece of fabric to stitch on it. Some of my favourite pieces are those stitched on hand dyed fabric to the extent that I look at some of my older Lavender & Lace and Mirabilia designs and wish I had the time to stitch them again on nicer fabric.0 -

Send me a pm if you like the alphabet ones; I've got some others in my stash as well.0 -

This show used to be at the GMEX centre in Manchester. I used to go every year but haven't been recently as there was too much card making and not enough stitching to justify the cost fore me. I love all kinds of stitching including patchwork and quilting so there are other shows I would rather go to but it's very much a personal preference. There is a list of exhibitors on the site which gives a good feel for the range of stalls. I love the workshops and always try to book on at least 1 and I have never not enjoyed a day at a show.0 -

I agree - some of the free charts are lovely and really quick and easy to stitch - here is one of them I made into a coaster

I've also stitched some of the other free charts but don't seem to have photos.0 -
I might be interested! Do you know the date in Feb? and time?
I'm planning on going to this years Stitch & Craft show at Earl's court and was just thinking March seems awfully far away, so this would work as a great stop gap!
Elle1267 has already posted the details.
I have been to Olympia in March before, but will possibly be on my belated honeymoon thenRadiotherapy has been postponed three times now because of a seroma. Now due to start on 1st February so hopefully all done by the end of February, so we can head off to the sun!!
I thought I'd give this one a go as it's so near and the tickets are very reasonable. Really don't need any more supplies but I do loving looking at all the pretty things :rotfl::rotfl:Cross Stitch Cafe Member Number 44:rudolf:Cross Stitch Is For Life Not Just For Christmas :rudolf:0 -
