Hi everyone, not posted much this week it has been a busy one!! I hope everyone is well and enjoying their stitchy projects :D. I finally finished Gorjuss although it was a chore, did not enjoy it at all I don't know whether it was the design or a missing stitchy bug but don't think i'll be doing another one lol.

I started on my Ladybird fairy and have made a fair bit of progress, really enjoying her. ATM on my to do list I have Ladybird fairy, cinderella, sleeping beauty and butterfly fairy i'm loving these designs!! I hope Joan Elliott slows down a bit i'm struggling to keep up lol.

A non stitchy question does anyone here work in preschools? if so whats the qualifactions required? I have looked on my local college site and theres so many its confusing.

It is the Gorjuss kit not you - I stitch with a few friends and we all dislike them and can't get going with them - we think it is because the pics are off centre on the charts and the 10x10 blocks are really hard to see on them so you lose track of where you are very easily. I am still struggling with one but gridding out the squares in a red pen has helped a bit

    Hello everyone

Hope everyone is well as they can be and hugs to all who need them and those who don't have one anyway.

I am in the middle of a chillax weekend - work only needs skelton staff on Monday so I am off (they give us the day off but we have to take it off our annual leave), so I took Friday off too and make a long weekend of it. So I am off to do more stitching and droll over the latest Joan Elliott - so on my todo list.

So got a couple of updates for you.

    Lavender stitch

And my blue sampler - really enjoying it - so simple but classic.

Keep well everyone till next time!

It looks amazing Mags. Well done. I bet you're so pleased with it.

Is it for you or is it a gift? X

I have to admit I was the same - I stitched one last year (Little Rabbit) but I started a second one and just couldn't find the mojo for it at all :o I think it't the backstitch being on differnet pages that did it, I like to do mine as I go along.

Your list sounds similar to my tastes - but JE's Rapunzel will be my next piece when it comes out (19th June!) :D

Mags_Cat - that looks amazing, well done!!:T:T:T How much did it cost (if you don't mind me asking)

I need to get to the framers - but I have so many pieces waiting it would cost a fortune and it puts me off going :o

    Thanks!

Yeah - I *really* wouldn't your framing bills :rotfl:

This one cost £58, so all in with the cost of the kit just over £100. That's a lot - but it has given me many hours of stitching and will deliver countless more hours of enjoyment looking at it. I have framed things myself in the past, only little pieces - but they never look professional. I have a really good framer and the ones that do a good job with stretching fabric are rare, so I'm hanging onto him!

I agree, I've just finished the Noah's Ark sampler that Bobbis Mummy is doing and I paid £35 to get it framed, but I think after all the work that has gone in it's worth getting it framed professionally
