It'll hurt for a few days Chicky. Did they give you a stretchy bandage for your arm, I don't know why but it makes it feel better. Don't forget you can take paracetamol and ibuprofen alternately, every 2 hours.

noooooo i don't do pain :p - i know but paracetamol reallly is useless - it's like my body doesn't recognise it as a drug - may have to invest in co-codimal - if it can see me through labour it'll see me thro this :o

yeah she wrapped it up (thank god i'm not sunbathing it'd leave a nasty white line) :rotfl:which can come off tomorrow morning (had to keep clean and dry for 48h) then just leave the steristrips to disolve.

ohh it was "interesting" explaining it to the men at work.....after they'd spent a while guessing and getting it wrong of course :rotfl: i had every rumour from "she's been shot/ stabbed" to "got a tattoo" to "given blood".

Hi 23rdspiral - sounds like you've had a really terrible time of it just recently. I hope you can start on the road to get things sorted.

In case you have missed it, I have the bird clock chart that you were wanting. PM me your address and I'll happily send it to you. A bit of calm stitching may take your mind of everything even if only for a few minutes.

    Regards

Sorry you're having such a tough time 23rd Spiral - that must be it now thoguh surely? Hope you can get the wall/gate sorted by the gas man and the insurance pay out quickly.

DS now much happier although we have a fight 4x a day to get the antibiotics down him (I had a lick yesterday and they are vile tbh). The weather has turned rainy and cool today which has also helped cool down his spots.

Minimal to-do's today so doing them this morning and stitching this afternoon:T
    Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly
    Emergency fund £1000/£1000

23rd - so sorry to hear about all of your troubles. I don't blame you for wanting to rant, and here's as good a place as any. Hopefully you can manage to talk sense to the police/insurance and get something sorted. Can't remember who suggested the car hire but I know my sister looked at it for her daughter the other week and it was quite cheap - about £100 for the week. I know £100 is still a lot of money but may be better thann losing time off work. Cin up.

Dorastor - glad to hear that your little one is starting to feel a bit better. I thought this was a childhood disease that had died out.

Chicky - I hope your arm starts to feel a bit better and that in the long term your moods improve.

Skoobie - I've pm'd you - sorry it's taken so long been really busy and little results seen from it.

    Sweetcarer - I've emailed you.

Take care everyone. Off to do a bit of housework then to frame my nephews wedding sampler - wedding this Saturday!!

Chicky - have just read my post back and realised that what I said made it sound as if you were a really miserable moody person. I didn't mean it to sound like that, I just know that you have been struggling with things lately and hoped that having the implant removed would settled hormones etc and carm any mood swings.

Ok, I'll put my spade away now - I think I've dug a big enough hole.:D

    SORRY!!!!

    Hello Ladies

23rd - Thats awful! Hope you get some better luck very soon! You have had your 3 doses now, so if the sayings are right your good luck starts now ;).

chicky - If you go to your chemist and ask for Paramol you will be given the good stuff :D, you have to ask as it is locked in the back of the office. It is dyhydrocodine and paracetamol. It is co-codamols big brother, and it is goooood! You can only take it for 3 days though as it is strong. It will definately ease your pain!

dorastar - good to hear he is improving.

Well not much stitching here, just haven't had the motivation at all. Been feeling pretty low for a few weeks now, going to see my GP next week, hope he has some good suggestions.

    Hugs to all

tis ok ailsb I know what you mean. :)

lol augustsmummy. I used to work for Mr B in the pharmacy so I know how much you need to bribe the pharmacist for paramol, and the cost . thankfully the pain really seemed to ease today after i took the bandage off (although was agony for about an hour and just started again now). thank you tho.

determined to get my stitching out tonight as didn't touch it yesterday in the end.

dorastar glad DS is recovering. is it the medicine?? which one pink or yellow. the pink medicine is awful and the yellow not much better. what happened to the lush banana flavour of my childhood? you prayed you got sick so you could have it.
