    Happy Birthday Louise _party_

    Emma
    - ouch your finger sounds painful. Hope you can get back to Gorjuss soon.

Aislb and 23rd - hope your OHs are ok now.

Soulie - the little bird is lovely - thanks.

Chicky - hope some good comes from visit to drs (tomorrow ???).

Still not a stitch stitched yet. Have been busy removing old built in wardrobes and had all the debris to get rid of today. Tomorrow I think the skirting boards are getting removed. Its a bit like sleeping in a builders yard atm.

    Sweet dreams everyone (especially AM)

Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes xxxxx

Went with my mum for her scan, she got a date for her op next month and radiotherapy afterwards so hopefully she will be fine after that :T She took my sister and I out for lunch aferwards which was lovely.

AM - Our High School changed uniforms recently...thankfully it changed just as DS1 started so I got lucky and only had to buy him the new stuff. Mind you I can't complain, he is in shirt/tie and I can buy shirts anywhere - it's the parents who bought the maroon sweaters earlier in the year who were annoyed about it. The Head is trying to make everyone wear Blazers....the kids keep on kicking off about it and refusing.

On a slightly unrelated note, it makes me laugh how people categorise stitching speed on here - the fastest being Louise speed!

    LOL :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::o

If u listened to the radio this morning, the traffic report, my OH was in the middle of the collision that brought Northampton's Riverside / A45 to a halt. Very luckily he is fine, and because he was driving cautiously, so was the biker My OH was shunted into. I'm so relieved. Everyone was ok, but the chap who started the domino- shunt will need a new car. He's home now, fine, talking to insurers, and I'm still a nervous wreck!

Yikes - scary moment, I'm glad he is okay!

Happy birthday louise, did you get any stitchy presents ??

    Surprisingly...no.
But them I'm quite glad because sometimes people buy stuff that they think looks great but it's not something I would stitch. I still feel guilt about a freind who spend a lot of money on a beautiful floral tablecloth kit a few years back......you all know how I feel about flowers :o:o:o

I got some money from my mum and MIL, and hubby is taking me out to choose something nice at the weekend...I'm sure stitchy stuff will feature somewhere.

(And birthday money can't count as spending on stash!! LOL)

Thanks for the get well messages for my hubby - he seems fine, even has a decent colour. Just worried that he will have another bout as I am sure he hasn't passed it.

Chicky - don't worry about saying AM I read that as me as my initials are AM and I often think people are saying things to me when they mean AugustsMummy.

Louise - I'm glad your birthday has been okay and that your Mum got on ok with her scan. I agree that spending birthday money on stitchy things even if it only adds to your stash is allowed and I'm sure your husband will be happy to spend on somehting that makes you happy.

Morning everyone. Just catching up with all your posts.

Mrs MP - your daughter's piece sounds lovely - she has obviously inherited your stitching gene:)

chicky - I can't offer anything more constructive than sympathy I'm afraid but am sending virtual hugs. And thanks for the link to the Yankee candles site - I have placed an order as I have a couple of birthdays coming up and found some suitable gifts on there (with the free parcel being designated for me :D). Hope you treated yourself

aneres - your 2 UFOs are both lovely. How can we encourage you to finish them? The dragon one looks as though it is not far off the end. TW designs are lovely but definitely for people who like a challenge IMHO

Skoobie and Ailsb - I also like to keep left over threads - there is often a lot left from kits and even more when I use my own stash of threads for a project. I have a set of numbered project cards made by LoRan (though now I would make my own I bought these years ago) and I put any left over DMC onto these (at least that's the theory:rotfl:) Then there is often enough when a new project only needs a small amount of a colour. But I've also got various stashes of unidentified threads which I can't bear to throw out. I use some of them for stitchery projects such as the couch companion and tell myself the others will "come in"

Skoobie - love the blackwork cat and it would make a fabulous needlecase. Thanks for sharing the finished butterfly. I agree it would make a lovely coaster

randm - Those Golden Kite projects are amazing - no wonder it took you so long

Still loads more posts to read (this isn't a complaint BTW) but have to get on with other things :( I will enjoy another catch up session later

The site is safe, i have used them before and the threads arrived quickly.

Just finally caught up, i've been stitching Beautiful Dreamer update to follow, sadly my granda passed away yesterday so not really getting much of it done atm.

So sorry to hear of your sad loss; thinking of you and your family.
