FOS I had considered spray starch, I may give it a go when I get back to it.

FE After you posted about the torch last night I googled it and it's coming through my town on 24.06.12 which is a Sunday so I think I will go and have a look.

With regard to your fridge is the drainer blocked at the back? I think that can cause the fridge to be too cold.

Off out in to Manchester today as oh has his Brother and friend round so I'm getting out of the way.

Do you think it's geeky to go the pics on your own? That's what I'm planning on doing and oh says I'm weird.

    Have a good Saturday everyone.

not far from me then aneres.
If you are comfy going to the cinema on your own go for it (personally I can't, not becuase it's geeky It's just one of those things - bit like going to the pub, not a solo outing IUSWIM). What you going to see??

It's miserable here today. Was gonna take the boys to the civil war reinactment in the local park but DS1 reckons he'll be scared. Then I was thinking a LONGGGGGGGG walk but again it's looking like rain and boy+rain = not a good combination.

I would go the cinema more often if it was closer to me and don't mind going on my own. I have also gone to the cinema with my OH and we have seen different films - just about possible. I also go to the theatre on my own - usually manage to strike up a conversation with someone and if not, well I just munch whatever treat I've taken with me :T

Off topic but as it's our wedding anniversary today I indulged another passion of mine last while shopping, Orchids! Tesco had 2 finest ones for half price so hubby bought them for me for today. Out of the packaging they are huge, never seen leaves so big! I was going to put them on the kitchen windowsill with the my other 5 but they are so big they have had to have a sill to themselves.
We are going out later to our local outlet shopping village. They have a Tula shop so will be looking at Radley bags :D
Then the plan is lunch at Frankie & Bennys or a takeaway at home tonight.
Oh and we have cake :T

unrelated to cross stitch1 (sorry) but are any of you planning on going to see the olympic torch as it makes its travels round the uk? I see its on its way to the UK tonight... and are any of you going to see any of the Olympics ???

Not really interested in the torch but I do like watching the Olympics on tv.

On topic. Hoping to get some stitching done later when back from shopping. I can see the end in sight now and while I'm not in a particular hurry to get the Tiger done thinking about what I'm going to stitch next is spurring me on to get finished.

Happy anniversary, Shelly! Ours is next Friday. Ten years...wow!

Aneres, I've been to the cinema on my own before. And my friend goes to to the theatre on her own often. You're sat in the dark, quietly, so what difference does it make if you're with someone or not? Besides, if it's a weepy film, you can cry all you want then! :)

    Hello everyone

Hugs to all who needs them.

Sitting here with the cat who has settled down for a wee nap beside me. Have been exploring the internet for new house insurance - renewal came in at just over £500. Found one on MrS (just because there advert came on TV so thought I would look) website for £330 - so saving already - will do some of the comparison places and see how I go.

Hubby is still in his bed - didn't come to bed till gone six. He is not sleeping at all during the night - doesn't want to distrub me. Think he is really worried about stuff but doesn't want to talk. Also, he feels sad for his family in America. He always calls them but they never call him - not even via Facebook - makes me mad.

Anyway enough of my woes. Onto the cross stitching.

Will start my wee lavender picture hubby bought me after this - have sorted the threads and material ready - it is DMC threads which is great as there seems to be alot of it.

Also, been working away on my blue sampler (part one) at work - really enjoy doing it at work as it makes me forget my work woes for a while.

Keep well everyone, where ever you are.

    sweetcarer ;)

SC..... We only have contents insurance (rented so LL pays buildings) but managed to renew it with barclays (who were doing 50% off a few weeks ago) for just over £5 a month.
