Re. the torch, I won't be going out to see it pass, even though it passes us just around the corner, as it's supposed to pass us at 6.41am  No way I'm getting up that early, I don't sleep enough as it is lol
I can't wait until the olympics though as I love watching it and I am quite patriotic lol
However, the opening ceremony falls on an even more important celebration........ my birthday :rotfl:

Back on topic, I am back stitching the Dalek again, done the confetti brown and now filling in the 'To Victory' wording at the top in purple.
I haven't been stitching much as I haven't been well again, and my uncle is in hospital, so I have been worrying about that, but he seems to be doing okay at the moment, but he's a right old time of it!!

Did quite a bit of stitching yesterday, and then some unpicking, and then re-stitching - I blame the gossiping as it stopped me recognising one shade of orangey brown from another. Also forgot to take the lovequilts pattern with me (doh!) but did a bit last night. Today is looking after icklies, doing school and housework with 20mins of stitching thrown in as a reward every so often.

flateric is it every type of alcohol you can't tolerate or just red and rose? Red wine is one of my migraine triggers so I stick to white and so long as I also drink lots of water I'm ok. Hope you're feeling better and able to stitch Snoopy today

Have a happy stitchy Sunday everyone

I'm not a fan of white white or bucks fizz - there are a couple of incidents from when I was at college that stick out and which have put me off drinking those beverages! I do like red but can't drink very much and rose wine, well its too easy to drink too much without realising it. (like last night :D) (although too much for me equated to about 400ml of wine?) I do like malibu and can drink quite a lot of that (I think !) but in general terms, I cant drink anything without feeling total rubbish. Rather interestingly, the last couple of times I have had archers, I have had a bit of a reaction to it so I don't drink that anymore. There must be something in alcohol that doesn't agree with me ... :rotfl:

Today I feel completely wiped out and its such a waste of a day :( I did used to go out quite a lot in my early twenties where I would make the most of the night and drink lots but I can't think of anything worse now and would much rather cook a nice meal at home or go out for a meal. I could quite happily give up alcohol if pubs had decent non alcoholic drinks and didn't charge a fortune for it. How can it be right for a pub to charge more for a pint of coke than a pint of beer ?

On the stitchy front, plan to finish a bit of tidying up then hope to sit down with snoopy :j

I'm the otherway round, I used to drink spirits and never touch wine, but lately it's all about the rose and suffer the consequences the next day. However it seems to be ok as I don't have to drink as much to get very tipsy, lol. I also favour a night in, a nice meal and some snuggles and xbox or a film with Joel my partner. This coming from someone who was always clubbing and despised consoles. lol

In stitchy news. my wonderful boyfriend, just told me that the colours i'm using look like vomit, so my baby pram design is being switched to something in relation to a beach for my summer themed exchange. I did say that i change things halfway. I just couldn't bare the idea of unpicking and restarting. Though according to Joel, it's ok to look like vomit as thats what babies do anyway, lol

    Best get back to it...

Almost got caught stitching the anniversary design a few minutes ago. DH went to Tesco, so I thought I'd try & squeeze in a bit of stitching while he was out. Just finished off a bit of thread and was finishing it off on the back when I heard the key in the lock. Whipped it off the frame quickly and shoved it under the fleece blanket! Hope he doesn't suspect anything. I am now on the last line of wording, then I have a line of decorative 'stuff', then done! Phew...

Sound like you just got away with it;)
I can't wait to see how it looks when finished.

I'm amazed he would realise what it was you were working on anyway. Unless he takes a keen interest. my boyfriend, only notices when I specifically ask his opinion or the famous line 'do you know what it is yet' - said in Rolf Harris style, lol. Even then i have to wait for him to look over and answer.
I made his 3 yr anniversary card sitting with him on the sofa and he was pretty oblivious, lol.

My hubby is very interested in my stitching & often helps me with colour choices, framing and where to 'sign' my stitching. Hoping he was too distracted by the Ben & Jerrys he brought home to realise what I was up to. I've been stitching it in secret for months. Either when he's at work, at my stitch meets or sat at the leisure centre, overlooking the pool...lol!
