Thanks for the lovely replies
He was 87 years old everyone loved him, he had been in hospital for over a month but was due to come home on Friday as he was better, then he took a turn for the worst on Monday morning and died yesterday. Quite sad really but he is with my nana now who has been waiting 16 years for him :A

Skoobie. Love the butterfly, very pretty. I agree, it's too nice to stash away in a drawer, use it and enjoy it.
Chicky. Nice find! Amazon are selling them fairly cheap. From 2.65 for a used one depending on which cover design you want.
Nmm. Sorry to read about your Granda.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
Well so much for not buying any stash - all of a sudden loads of extra stuff comes along at once and negates any money saved
So far this month:
Nursery photo - £10
Nursery fund money - £13.50
DS1 Home Ec contributions - £20
DS1 Trip - £10
DS2 & DD's milk money for the coming year - £49.40
(Some) School uniforms - £110 (making a start now, so much to get)
= An expensive month!
So I wouldn't be buying any stash this month even if I had a mind to lol :rotfl:
My aim is to complete Circe by the 19th of June, that's when Rapunzel is released in CSG. If I finish before then (doubtful) I will go back to the medieval lady.
I must say - I think I will be glad when I get back to a project that's on good old aida, everything is evenweave atm.Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. Mags cat loving what you have done so far. I think all of this range is beautfiul but this one is particularly stunning
sweetcarer what a thoughtful husband and the kit he bought is lovely. Re Crafty Kitten - I subscribed to their fabric of the month for a year - loved everything they sent and the service was excellent. You have probably already been answered (I'm catching up on older posts) but I think magic evenweave would work very well for the Jo Verso design
Emma your keyring is lovely though I'm sorry I can't help with other charts - it's not something I've ever stitched though I can see they would make great presents
Ailsb so pleased to hear the good news about Charlie; you have certainly been busy; you must be very pleased with the dragons and marshmallows - is it for you?
23rdspiral - interesting idea to use turmeric and cinnamon for dyeing. I'm thinking that next time I declutter my herbs and spices shelf that I should try some of the old spices for dyeing instead of just throwing them out. And if they add the scent of cinnamon that would be a real bonus as it is one of my favourite smells. A friend of mine swears by gravy browning for dyeing calico and muslin (some of you younger folk probably don't even know what it is but you can still find it if you look:))0 -
Nmm Sorry to hear about your Grandma, thinking of you xx0
