You've passed your hail storm to me!! Had snow at 8am, sunshine since and now heavy hail storm, gone that dark I have put the light on. Also, just heard thunder. Don't understand this weather.

ok nope I've been good. I put £33 of items in my basket - checked out (it was adding the naff selection of free stuff) and still wanted to charge me £3 postage. So I closed the page!!!!

YAYAY proud of me. Still might do candle bags for christmas gifts but feel poundland may feature quite largley.

Well done Chicky - I did similar added stuff to my bag and then decided I didn't really need it and closed the page.

Would anyone else like to join our mutual appreciation club for not spending on yankee candles? LOL

I have to hold my hand up and say I decided that if I could afford to spend that sort of money then I could afford to have one of my pieces framed. How sad am I.

hi, i have used venus threads since they were first brought out over here, at the time they were about 35p compared to about 67p for dmc. before then i had always used dmc.
imo they are the same quality as the dmc .
i used them to stitch 2 big pictures, one ' the picture gallery' from www.goldenkite.com which took me three years to finish!!!!! and the one i am doing now. will post pics when i learn how. hth.


edited to add ; a quick google found this site www.xstitchcrafts.com selling venus threads for 30p as they are discontinuing stocking them.( have never used this site though)

it was ok but seemed really long and obviously wasnt holding me as i went to do the washing up towards the end. i also thought the first was better.

Sk00bie blackwork cat is looking really good - next time ive gotthe camera out ill photo my blackwork hot air balloons, i havent done any blackwork since but remember really enjoying doing it.
