    Hi all

Absolutely love that couch companion its gorgeous, love the progress pictures its nice watching things appear before your eyes.

The pictures of the Ladybird fairy has made me want it even more - but i'm struggling to find it. Tried to get a back issue on a isubscripe and they didn't that issue listed.

Today I have also been all over the town I live in looking for a copy of Cross Stitch Gold and nowhere seems to stock it, I will have to get that one online I think.

Anyhow, I have taken a picture of Gorjuss The pretend friend, which I just can't get back into, heres what I have done so far

Polstitches fabric is fabulous but there are other companies out there that do hand dyed fabric Here is one I have used (The Crafty Kitten) and she does aida as well as evenweave. Beware you may like her fabric of the month for May :D

I see they do 25hpi magic aida - wonder if I could use it for my floral year instead of 27/28hpi eveweave. The choices, the choices. You say you have used them before - were they good?

Hubby was in charity shops today and found this for £2.50, so he thought of me (he feels terrible that we have to juggle money around all the time and that I can't get my material right away). So he bought it and gave it to me as a wee surprise - so I have something to stitch.

Keep well everyone - where ever you are

    sweetcarer ;)

Well here is my first keyring. I am quite pleased with it - took longer than the evening suggested by the magazine.

Does anyone have any suggestions where I might find more suitable charts for keyrings, possibly that don't use too many colours?

Raining here in Derbyshire again after quite a sunny day.

FOS the couch companion is lovely.

Blossom is sat with me, watching me type. She LOVES the PC and when it gets switched on, she leaps up onto the computer desk to join me. Sometimes she tries to climb on the keyboard, which doesn't help much. Oh, she just stepped down to sniff my fingers. :)

She's soooo cute. I have children that can't leave my fingers alone the minute I switch on the PC!!

    AWWWWW lovely kind hubby.

Gotta love Magic Aida..... now if only they did that in pretty colours :D

Ohhhhhh May's fabric of the month at Crafty Kitten is AMAZING!!!!! but can I justify £6.30 for a 9"x12" piece of 14ct aida????

I wouldn't want to stitch on it - just frame it and look adoringly :rotfl:
Plus I'd have to stitch something for someone else on it as we never have anything on display (even pics of the kids as hubby never gets round to putting anything up).
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

MrsMP - sorry to hear about your "little" niece still being in hospital. Hopefully she will be well enough to come home soon.

Sk00bie - I agree with you I feel really pleased when I have thread left when I finish a kit. however, it does beg the question what do I do with the remaining thread as I feel that I shouldn't be throwing it away. I have lots of thread left in thread organisers that I never look at again. Well done on finishing the monster design, it looks really good.

Sweetcarer- Floral garland will look lovely. I did the August one for my Aunts 70th birthday. Gosh seems like yesterday and it will be 15 years in July.

23rdSpiral - love your little fox.

Augustsmummy - the Macintosh Sampler is really nice and sooooo cheap. It would have been rude not to buy it. I think adding the names and dates is a good idea. If you stitched it all the time you would get it done by your anniversary.

subtle-minx - welcome to the cafe. I stitch to relax - although when it goes wrong I'm not sure how much relaxation I actually get, so beware - lol.

Louise - all I can say about Circ is wow. I'm still amazed and in awe when I see your updates as to how quickly you manage to stitch.

FOS - your cushion coming along nicely. Your cushion companion is lovely. I tried dying some fabric with beetroot but it went really blotchy and I decided to throw it away.

BEG - your cards are really sweet.

TMIF - the Ladybird lady is coming along nicely, the colours look really vibrant.

Aneres - good progress. I've washed my fabric and tested 4 of the bright/dark colours for colour fastness and they were fine. Hopefully will start mine in the next day or so.

Chicky - good progress on Princess Palace.

Shelly - still loving your tiger.

Ruth-honey - love that photo of blossom so very cute.

Mags-Cats - this is coming along nicely.

Emma - keep at it you will be so pleased when you finish her.

Sweetcarer - that was really nice of your hubby to buy it for you.

Sorry for the long post, you've been so busy over the last couple of days. Thanks for all the good wishes sent to Charlie, the hospital said it wasn't underdeveloped lungs but a chest infection. They gave him strong antibiotics and some steroids and he has made fabulous progress. They originally said he would be in for about 4 weeks but they left them out on Saturday.

In the last couple of days I have finished knitting 2 cardigans, 1 hat, the birth sampler for my husbands nephews little girl, the birth sampler for Charlie and the long awaited Dragons toasting marshmallows. I forgot to take photos of the birth samplers but will get ones soon and post.

    Here's the dragons.

    Emma, gorjuss is gorgeous!

FOS, great caddy! I made similar a few years ago but only pouch on 1 side, wasnt as nice though, and it slides off our new/second hand sofa. Ive dyed fabric with tea and coffee, then brushed on turmeric and cinnamon for depth / ageing for primitive sewn things.

Brednall, Love the key ring! I've got some house related key ring charts... Stitched 1 when we moved, but then couldn't get the right key ring :0(. I can look them out for you if interested, but my mags are boxed up, and covered in other boxes, till after the radiators are done.

Aislb, great news! Nice post too, reminds me what people have been up to!

Skoobie, the monsters are ace! An old school friend of mine called her baby Riley last year.

Sweet career - that it so lovely of hubby! And its a really nice kit too! It's really made me smile, thanks.
    - I found a complete kit in a CS last jan, i bought it in anticipation of being made redundant and hid it away for a Rainey day. It wasn't quite my style but I always figured I could use the aida and threads for something else.
