Sk00bie - they monsters look great :T:T
aneres - lovely progress
AM - Newton is just adorable
fos - I think the cards are lovely, especially the little teddy one
tmif - I think you will have a few people jealous of that piece :T
My brother texted me earlier to ask what I would like to do with the RM piece I made for his wedding last year:
He doesn't want to throw it out (or let his ex have it) so he is going to give me it back and I will see if it's worth unpicking the names and date

blue eyed girl - both cards are lovely Are they for someone special or just to have on hand?
Thanks fos - girl with watering can has gone to sil for her birthday and the other is going to one side for emergencies. Hoping to build up a few cards in hand but it never seems to happen.
Sk00bie - love the monsters,
TMIF - love pics. Ladybird fairy is gorgeous. Looking forward to seeing your progress.
catwoman - I'm intrigued with this tramlining and totally confused (doesn't take much these days cough cough). Will have to have a look for some videos and then I might give it a go.
AM - Newton is really cute.
aneres - that is going to be stunning.

ohhh Maria We could do with a Morleys round here. We have to settle for SFC (from Asda/ Farmfoods) with either homemade chips or curly fries on "homemade KFC nights".
While we are on the topic of films we're watching "man on a ledge" tonight which - surprise it or not - is about a man on a ledge!!it's looking good so far.
Tried to watch new American Pie but the torrent was banned by the PS3.
Love Gnomeo and Juliet Maria.
I'm guessing Aladdin must be due for a re-release cause my local Blockbuster didn't have it in (they had none of the 'classics' - very disapointed will have to actually buy the DVD I think.
didn't think the new Jonny English was as good as the first Mrs M
FlatEric I like the Tresury Tag idea. I'd go for 6m-1yr worth per tag depending how many you can fit.
23rd love the crafty fox
Hi Subtle_Minx.... well done reading that much. Sorry I gave up on numbers a long time ago but feel free to take whatever comes next from the list at the front (if it's still there)
Cinderella/ Sleeping Beauty and Repunzel are lovely (but not something I'd get round to stitching thankfully) - the perils of 2 boys
Circe is coming on brilliantly *Louise* and lots of progress there Maria
Keiss we found out the sex of our children - mainly becuase I was soo struck on having a little girl I needed the time to come to terms with them being boys. I am still convinced had I waited until the delivery of them to find out they were boys I would have got depressed and rejected them. Instead I had the time to 'bond' before birth.
We also chose their names (very difficult as being an ex teacher lots of names made me link them to various children i had taught so had to be rejected so they didn't bring back bad memories.) We let friends and family in on the names but always with a "he will probably be called xxx"
In return people always talked about them with their chosen names before birth. I loved it - again it improved the bonding for everyone and much nicer then "bump" or "it"
The cushion is taking shape FOS
nykied Well done on looking after the woodpecker - they must be amazing close up.
I've not sorted the mags but from ones I have printed out/ bought I have 1 lever arch of "child-like" designs and one for "adult".
Tho I like yours if ever I did do my magazines.....
LOVE the name plate Skoobie and the Y looks well positioned now its finsihed.
TMIF Ladybird fairy is stunnning - I can see why you all like her.
grabbag......polestitches --- what have I missed???loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
Have had a nightmare evening trying to complete my backstitch on this A4 page of princess palace but I faught the demons....... stithed... unpicked and stitched again and yayayy I did it.
So last time (20/4/12):
Todays update:
2 x A4 pages leftloves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -

Oh, I also have alphabets. I've just put the last lot into the final folder - the animal folder. This folder is divided into two - real animals and cartoon animals. In the cartoon animal half, they're also sorted into characters, teddies etc. The real animal half is sorted into broad species, such as wild, farmyard, garden bird etc and then into types. So in the wild section, they're sorted into leopards, tigers, lions etc.
OCD much?
If anyone is looking to buy poly pockets, I recommend Morrisons. They're 50p for 25 and they're the nice clear ones, not the crinkled ones, if you see what I mean.0 -
In no particular order:
FOS - Thanks for the offer with the alphabet
Louise - Ooh, I really adore the Mackintosh piece (big fan of RM and deco etc). It is one of the nicest and most simple wedding pieces I have ever seen. Soo many wedding pieces are far to cheesey and busy.
CW - I will probably do that just because I'm a sad cow and a # will make me feel important, pathetic yet funny.
Funny you should say that I'm looking at an empty SFC carton, which I am keeping as I'm sure I could decorate and keep some of the ever growing stash in it ;P 'Homemade KFC night'for the win, lol
Aneres - Love the piece you working on, I am very tempted to get the kit, thought of doing it in variegated shades of duck egg/turquiose and teal to match my room.
TMIF - Lady bird faery is stunning, I can't wait till I am skilled enough to try some of Joan Elliots designs. They are amazing!
Ruth, I second what someone said about Blossom being a Bengal, especially with the front markings. Very pretty kitty. I am owned by 2 Rex cats. Slinki n' Fizz, The Devon I found on my front window and after no one claimed him I rehomed him from the RSPCA.
Skoobie - Loving the monsters, they look fab!
Nykied and Louise- I have copied both of you lists as a starting point for organising mags, charts etc (brought a yrs worth at the charity store for a couple of quidand will probably add even more catorgories, lol.
No stitchy news to report, still slowly working on my needlecase and pincushion kits and getting ready for an Oriental exchange I am taking part in on another forum, my first one...eek
P.s checked the grab bags on polstitches, ans all I can say is ooh and arr and want, lol
You'll have to get used to the essays, Sorry0 -
