Is the Y in the right place? I can't decide if I should budge it slightly to the right or not?!

I think that once you have stitched the last monster it will look fine. The gaps between the letters aren't equal.

I know! Drove me mad trying to get the spacing right :rotfl:

I tried to space the centre of each letter equally, it kind of worked!

Love the design!! Great progress too.

Too ashamed to post picture of Noahs Ark this week as there's hardly been any progress at all, too busy doing other things:( hopefully get back on track and have more "me" time this week. Plus I've just got a cake decorating kit so busy trying my hand at cupcake decorating so spending my time flitting between this thread and home made cakes thread!

Hope to post progress picture next week!:)

Sk00bie - I think it looks as if it's in the right place. You've reminded me that I need to finish the names and date on the wedding sampler for my Nephew and his future wife. I stitched it and then decided it wasn't centred to the design although centred to the fabric.

I think it's really hard when things are measured correctly but just don't look right. Love the monster design by the way.

Hi all, need an opinion on how to write a babys weight. Should it be 7lb 13ozs or 7lbs 13oz? Can't decide whether it's the pounds or ounces that should be made plural. I now have two samplers I need to finish so any help gratefully received.

Will wait to see what the concensus of opinion is.

i think it looks great, i dont think its a design that needs to be mathmatically 'perfect' it looks cute and fun.

FOS cant wait to see you cushion i can imagine it all mitred and piped and in my mind its already looking beautiful.

IMHO it should be 7lb 13oz.
Isn't it odd that baby's weights are still measured in imperial not metric? Even younger folk who have grown up with the metric system seem to abandon it for baby weights (and of course pints of beer) - or is that just the people I know?

I've just spent the last 45 minutes or so googling and have come to the same decision as you have said 7lb 130z - which is great as that's what I've stitched.

    Thanks.

I agree that it's strange as my Nephew was told Charlie's weight (5lb 11oz) in pounds but the card in his crib has it in kilos.

Love monsters sk00bie - to me the 'y' looks fine.

I would go for the 7lb 13ozs too Aislb. Hope he is still making good progress.
