Flowers of Scotland, I think it's a brilliant idea for scoobie to see if there are any stitching shops in Las Vegas... Yes it's a while to wait but would make it more memorable I think. Also, with time to spare before, Skoobie, you could contact shops and see if they can get it in for you!

    ---
Right I NEED to finish my two little kits, asap, the crafty fox and the breast cancer hearts. It's mostly just back stitching on both, thought the hearts needs a bit more done in the palest colour.

My Want To Stitch list is growing, but my Completed List isn't! :rotfl:

So I'll post my NEED to stitch list for this year, with hope it motivates me!

~Something for dads 70th Birthday. Card to then frame I think. He loves birding, but he would need the bird to look accurate! Any ideas anyone? For mid JULY.

~Wedding sampler for a friend. I bought the kit, perfect for her, a couple of years ago! It's a card that can be customized, which I'll give a frame for too. For late AUGUST.

~wedding sampler for me! :j we are finally planning the wedding! I want to do a personalized version of that Will and Cate sampler from Crossstitcher last year... It will fit the vintage tea party feel we are going for, and I'd like to have it done for then... Probably late sept idf we can a mange it!! Am I odd? Is that mad?

~ but then I'm also itching to start the Family Tree kit from last years Mag Feature; and a flower kit for the bed room make over... And, and, and....

I did try and place an order at polstitches website for one of their grab bags, then I find out that they have sold out. serves me right for not placing an order sooner. Maybe next month I will place an order sooner.

    Hello everyone

No stitching up date from me this week as I haven't done much - was in training for two days and had dentist other day so didn't have a full lunch time to be able to sit and stitch and listen to the boys have their wee b*tch session! So funny - they are just like a bunch of girls at times. Think they forget I am there stitching away in the corner.

Got my cross stitch collection in today - fallen in love with this which comes out next month

    summergoddesscsc211july2012.jpg

This is the fifth one Joan Elliott has put out - oh I wish hubby would find a job soon so we can get wee treats tho he seems to get treats for him - he is into doing things on the computer and needs blank cds (something to do with programming). I know there not expensive but its extra spends. Also with me going to dentist is going to cost.

Well better get on with some work. Brought some home to do as I have been away with the training - catch up on things as I get my "appraisal" this week and I don't want to look like I am slacking.

Love hearing all your wee stories and how you are all getting on in life - you give me a wee bit of company in my day. Love the wee kitten better not say it too loud or Sam will get jealous!

Keep well everyone where ever you are

    sweetcarer ;)

Just back from taking Tenby to the framer's. Should be done in about three weeks. Can't wait to see it all properly done, they do such a good job stretching it and so on.

So, have started Mum's next present - another John Clayton circular design, this time "Hard Frost". Suspect I shall be moaning about nothing but blues rather like the brown/orange/brown/orange that happened with "Autumn Reflections"!

Have a lovely long weekend everyone :)

In cross stitch news, Cross Stitch Crazy has dropped through my door today !

Mine was also there when I arrived back from (food) shopping

I've just amde a nice cuppa for DH and self so first impressions are:

Fizzy Moon No1 Dad (free gift) - OK

Kate Knight floral cushion - too much back stitch for my taste though I like the instructions for the flange border cushion and can see me using those on a different design

CelebStitch Tom Daley - not interested

50 anniversary gift ideas - nothing caught my eye

Cute panda "Bamboo" holding flowers = nothing special

No1 teacher/thank you teacher - thankfully of not relevance to me

Time to stitch = clock with a bird for each number around the dial 23rdspiral - there may be something you could use here but it's not going on my to do list I do like the clock kit though

Crazy for Hollywood motifs - these would make nice cards for film fans

Holiday travel set (passport cover and travel wallet) - no thanks

Flower Power brooches - too bright for my taste but certainly different and in different colours would make nice cards or coasters

Stitchy sayings - made into hangings though could be used for cards, coasters, needlecases, scissor fobs etc. The 4 sayings are
Born to stitch forced to work
When I learned how to stitch I forgot how to cook
My heart is fed with needle and thread
    Quiet Cross stitcher at work
I love these and would like to stitch them all

Going for gold medals - ok

Would love to see what others make of this month's issue

Hope everyone has a lovely stitchy long weekend

Chickkywiggle - I was just in the process of getting a refund so I've let her know it's arrived.

I also had to sign for the package so I think they'll be able to back track.

If I'd had a refund and not had to sign for it I would've been tempted to just keep it.

I'm confused - if you've paid and not had a refund then that's ok. If they have refunded ebay they need to ask ebay for the £5 I would have thought. You certainly shouldn't be out of pocket after such a long wait

It needs a good iron and then turning in to a hanging.

Just worked out how to attach aida to my floor frame, I was given it so it didn't have instructions.:j
