    Yeah, they'll be fun & games with that! At the moment she's not allowed in the living room. We need to get something to block the chimney off with. She's explored the spare room good & proper though. Including climbing on things, knocking them off & scaring herself. But that's all part of being a kitten I guess...

    We couldn't leave her. She was too adorable. I was in love within minutes. Trust us to find her a Sunday though. The vets 2 minutes away was closed and pet shops closed by the time we found her. Our neighbour took us to another vets nearby and they gave us a kitty goody bag with food & toys. Yeah for them! :T

    Evening Ladies

    Thank you all so much for your kind words, it's nice to know you are thought of :o. I am doing ok, although still a little sore.
    DS is still very spotty head to toe, and very grumpy!

    As for stitching I finally started a new kit on Monday (didn't start one whilst in hospital ) a Newtons Law - this one
    Not got very far- just one leg and a small bit of his tummy.

    I know I should have finished Darth and Kipper, but felt like a change.

    Ruth-honey - Blossom is a real cutey!

    Love the update of the ark Bobbis mummy

    Glad your parcel finally arrived aneres :T

    I had a read through the Quilt thread, that must have been so saddening for you all to have put the effort in for one person to ruin it :( It was such a fab idea, something I would have loved to partake in!

    Right off to do some more Newton
    have a lovely evening everyone

    Yay ive caught up again...

    Circe is looking fantastic Louise

    AM - am glad your home swiftly. Best wishes for quick recovery, for all the family!

    The alphabet looks fab, noah's ark is progressing great, I'm still loving the blue and white sampler... Skoobie I love that full sampler, it's so old looking it's wonderful. Do u think you will?

    Mags - wow! What a lovely present! I think I'd have trouble using them though, they r so pretty and perfect I wouldn't want to ruin the look!:rotfl:

    ~~~~~
    We went away camping sat - wed... On the Somerset Levels:eek: we were fine, luckily the campsite put us on the drained caravan pitches, not out in the field where we would have floated away! We had a wet, windy and wonderful time anyway. We rose at 4am Tuesday to walk to the top of Glastonbury Tor to greet the sunrise, And were in the final closing ceremony in the community open mike celebration at 11:30pm that night! Tired? Yes. happy? Oh Yes!! Bonkers? definitely!:rotfl:
    Sadly too rainy for stitching, but a friend kindly gave me a cross stitch chart she no longer needs... Of stone henge with an astrological chart above. It's really detailed, so might have to save it for after doing the ones that need to be done this year first.
    ~~~
    thank you for the kind wishes re my cousin. We still have no explanation, his gran (an aunt I'm close to) is so angry. And now i know a friend of mine has a friend who works at the station near where he stepped out in front of the train. I felt awful for the train driver anyway, but this has brought it home even more. Feeling loss and guilt, but having that tinged with thinking him selfish is very strange :(

    aneres. Glad to see your kit has finally arrived! Is it one big piece of fabric or 3 pieces? I'm soooo tempted, they look lovely.

    Skoobie. Go for it, you know you want to :D

    Ruth. Blossom is lovely!
    :heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:

    Haha you guys are supposed to be helping me stick to my 'no buying stitchy things in May' resolution!

    I think I probably will get them all, but maybe not straight away. Will get Snow Garden when it comes in and then maybe get more once I've done that one, or ask for the rest as a birthday pressie! Saying that, The Silver Needle site has a listing for all the charts plus fabric, so tempting to hit the add to cart button :rotfl:

    One of the blogs I looked at did it on 40 count linen, over 2 threads with one strand of floss and it all fits on a fat quarter :eek: :eek: :eek: You can customise each panel with relatives details etc so I think it would make a lovely keepsake/heirloom project. Thing is, would I do it with DMC or buy all the overdyed floss...? dilemma!

    AM - glad you're feeling Ok, keep taking it easy!

    23rdspiral - Sounds like you had a fab time, what an adventure! I'd love to do something like that but OH isn't keen on camping out :D

    Hoping to get the monsters done tonight, didn't stitch yesterday - went to IKEA with mum! :A

    Louise - always happy to build someone else's magazine collection :D

    tellmeitsfriday - thanks for the reply about the Jo Nesbo books. Of course I haven't got the first one so will have to search more charity book shops (and try not to buy too many other titles I spot in the process)

    Skoobie1 - I love Blackbird Designs (they design quitling fabric as well which is lovely) but I do think the total cost for all of the 15 designs is a bit high. This ploy of issuing designs in a series is one that seems to be quite prevalent among US designers - I've fallen for it myself in the past :eek: But if it's a present (and someone else is paying) then this US site which I have used many times has the series for a lower cost per chart. But follow the link at your peril as you seem to like a lot of the designers that I love ................... They charge a flat rate for shipping which is high if you are only ordering one item but I've never managed to restrict myself in that way especially when I start looking at the clearance area. I also love The Silver Needle site but they hardly ever discount so I haven't bought much from them. Could you stitch the Bent Creek design for your dad and frame it instead of putting it in a card? Have you checked if there are any needlecraft shops in the vicinity of Las Vegas?

    mrsmoneypenny - hope you do get some of the stitching time you deserve this weekend (3 days instead of 2 :j)

    ruth honey - can't offer any advice on kittens (DH is allergic to them) but am joining in the the oohs and aahs. Love that you have rescued her.

    augustsmummy - pleased to hear that you are ok and managing to do some stitching which hopefully will aid your recovery. Love the Newton design

    chickywiggle - thanks for the information on the fairy tale chart - I will checking to see if I have this issue tonight. I am also enjoying Joan's blog though there are far too many tempting designs on there stitched on tempting fabric

    23rdspiral - welcome back - no wonder you didn't do any stitching
