Here's the latest update, would've liked to have got further, I blame Ebay free listing weekend!!! Loving stitching again, planning to try and finish a Winnie the Pooh picture I started when I was pregnant with the youngest who's almost 2 once Noah's Ark is done:)

This is looking really great. Good to hear you have got back into stitching - it's such a relaxing and rewarding hobby (most of the time). The WTP picture will still be relevant for a 2 year old who need never know when you started it :D

Just to let you know I have discovered why I was running out of threads on the cover kit that came with xstitch cards mag the other day - if I had read the instructions, i would have found that I should have stitched with one strand not two :o:o:o. Spent this morning unpicking - that'll teach me.

Will catch up with all your posts later.

  • Thanks FOS and brilliant update bobbis mummy

So finally got my stichy bug back yesterday after it has been awol since before my migraine attack! Run around all day yesterday making sure everything i had to do was done by the time the littlest imp went to bed so I could curl up in bed whilst daddy looked after the other 2 with my lady, lots of snacks and crap Tele and do a couple of hours, well that plan went out the window when the littlest imp played up in bed and the other 2 followed me and brought the dog and wouldnt stop talking! So I got all of about 30 stitches done in 2 hours then gave up! Will try again tonight!

    Nice progress BM!

Skoobie. I really like #3, but then my Dad is a fisherman. Don't like #1, prefer #2.
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:

This happened to me with a cover kit - it was a Flower Fairy and I matched the threads and carried on with 2 strands. It's a mistake you only make once :D I can't help thinking that it is done to save costs as 1 strand doesn't give sufficient coverage IMHO for the main design and is only effective for shading or background areas.

Well being a comparative newbie and also nosy I had to check out the link and then got hooked on reading the whole sorry saga (over 700 posts). Such a shame that all that hard work and goodwill came to nothing. The chart is fabulous and would have made a wonderful child's quilt. Does anyone remember which magazine issue it was in? Sorry if this reopens old wounds but when I saw the design I thought it would make a lovely name plate for my youngest GD

thanks FOS I know :( Let me have a look tonight as I must have save the chart. :D:D

BOBBIs MUMMY - love Noahs Ark - I think I may do the version i have as my next project (if I ever finish princess palace)

No it hasn't :rotfl:;) (the seller would have claimed money back from post office anyway)

    Enjoy.
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

Louise - both CSCrazy and CS CardShop mainly feature smaller designs. Crazy is more of a magazine IMHO as it has more articles so it depends what you like. They are also published at different frequencies - 13 per year for Crazy and 6 per year for Card Shop though that might be a deciding factor
Here is a link to 3 issues for £1 for Crazy and here for Card Shop

Aha - that's the sort of offers I was wanting!:T The one I had seen was for CSC offered two Sumbunny to love kits, but they aren't something I would stitch

Think I'm going to subscribe to both for now then when it runs out I will cancel the card one

    Thanks :D
