    Morning all.

No stitching for me last night, had too much work on :(

Anyway....I'm looking for a new magazine to subscribe to. Since I ditched Crosstitcher a few months ago I have been thinking about which new one to start buying.

So - I think it's between Cross Stitch Crazy and Cross stitch card shop. Opinions on which is best would be welcome and if anyone knows of any special offers that would be good too :D :money:

    Hi ladies.

Off topic for a moment but I know a few of you are readers aswell as stitchers. I have just been to Tesco and bought the Stieg Larsson 'Girl with the dragon tattoo' trilogy for £4.86 in paperback if any of you are interested. Having googled I couldn't find a better price but when searching on HUKD they have been around this price for quite sometime in Tescos, I can't believe I have never seen them before! :D

On topic, I got quite a bit of progress done on the Tiger yesterday :)

    Those books are brilliant Shelly!

...and when you're done with them, there are the Harry Hole books (by Jo Nesbo - 8 so far :)

I'm afraid I don't know much about either magazine *Louise*. I have bought the odd issue of card shop for the free kit, but I don't think I would subscribe, I'd probably go for XS Crazy if that helps any!

Currently I'm subbed to WOXS and Mollie Makes which is plenty but I keep getting tempted by the offers for XS Collection and Gold!

My polstitches order was dispatched yesterday (yay!) but they were out of stock on one of the charts (boo!). I think they're going to order it for me though and it's not like I'm in a rush for it, got plenty to do!

Didn't manage any stitching yesterday, spent all night discussing bridesmaid dresses with my sister on Skype!

I love the Steig Larsson books too, and thanks for the tip TMIF, I'll keep those in mind!

    XStitch to do list:
    -- Birth Sampler -- Christmas Angel -- Mum's Xmas Stitch -- Christmas decs 3 & 4 -- Xmas Bird --
-- Snowflake Sonata -- Be Jolly -- JE Unicorn -- Start HAED!!! --

    Do you somehow stalk me????
I watched girl with dragon tattoo last night and spent all evening trying to find the triligy for a good price. Hmmmmm do i stop at tesco on my way home and see if ours have got it?? As it's not online anymore (£4.99 ish each)
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

Thanks, have heard they were good, thought it was worth a punt for a £5.
Thanks also for the recommendation of Jo Nesbo books but I must resist getting myself started on another series! Once I get started I HAVE to buy them all. Few years ago I bought hubby the first in Michael Connellys Harry Bosch series. We both loved it and now we have up to 14 I think!
I really want Janet Evanovichs Stephanie Plum series, that's up to 18 I think but I really can't justify the money in getting them all since I have soooooo many books in my stash already :o
Hubby thinks I'm odd because I won't read a book if it's part of a set unless I can get the others....is that just me?

I haven't seen the film but wanted the books for ages. I know it's not much help but my local had a few of the sets on the shelf so hopefully yours will too.

Shelly..........you are not alone - I have to have the whole set to.

    So far I have
    - twilight set (unread)
    - almost all the discworld books except a couple (mostly unread)
    - all Sophie Kinsella's books (read and got an addiction)
    - all Cheslea Cains "gretchen" books. (read and got an addiction)

Glad it's not just me :o Not only do I have to have them all, I like them to have the same cover designs if you know what I mean. A couple of the Harry Bosch books we have are bigger then the others but they were such a bargain, I try not to look at them as I pass the bookcases :rotfl:
The only author that I have all his work (I think) is Harold Robbins. I started collecting his books after reading just 1 :o
I am also nearly done with getting all of Emma Blairs books.

Back on topic. Got quite a bit done on the Tiger again today. Even though I still have quite abit to do I am thinking about what to do next. All I know is it will have bright colours! :D
