Morning all from a sunny Derbyshire - makes a change after a weekend of constant rain.
Just thought I'd post an update of my Home Sweet Home Sampler even though the progress is very slow.
I started this last night too - just a small DMC mini kit. At least this one shouldn't take as long to do.
Have a great day everyone

AM - glad to see you're back - make sure you take it easy, lucky stitching isn't strenuous so should be good for your recuperation
brednall - it's getting there - I like the soft colours, and the card looks very cheery
On the subject of charts and problems - I did a bit of unpicking on Circe - I used two strands of gold metallic as per the instructions but it looked hideous as it was too thick and wouln't lie flat, especially on the half stitches so I unpicked all the gold and redid it with one strand.
She is coming along nicely though, I have the head an upper body nearly done- not as fast as usual as I can't see the pen marks on the darker fabric and it's not quite dark enough for the white one to be any useCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. :eek:white pen:eek: after my titanic disaster i wouldnt dare use one again. next time i take photos ill do one of the wreck that was my 1st attempt, you can still see the white after at least 5 really good washes. the lady in the shop actually said it looked like the pen had bleached the colour out of the adia.SPC~12 ot 124

I guess it depends on the brand - I used white pen on the balck fabric for my Pasison of Dance the other month and it washed out without any problems.Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. It's taken me ages to catch up on all the posts here! Sorry to hear some of you are having a tough time at the moment... virtual hugs to anyone who needs them. xx
I've been making good progress on my Dictionary of Cakes (no pics unfortunately), and also on my Maia vase of flowers:

(hopefully you can see that if you follow the url)
I've also ordered a frame so I can attempt to frame a cut-down Dictionary of Love (from one of the magazines, I forget which) I stitched for a friend's wedding present. Hoping it will turn out ok!0 -
Thanks for your comments peeps! Can you offer me some inspiration too please? I have lots of kits in my stash (although not as many as I thought when I actually sorted it yesterday!!) but I would like to stitch something for my childrens bedrooms. My DD is 2 and my son will be 1 in June so a bit past the birth sampler maybe. I thought about doing their names in one of the alphabets from a mag or an alphabet sampler? What do you think?
Hope everyone is staying dry today - can't wait to see more update pics soon too
