    Hi ladies.

b_e_g. Love the tulips and the frame is fab!

Skoobie. Love the monsters, they look fun.

Ailsb. Dragons are coming along nicely.

Catwoman. Nice progress on your dragon.

Sweetcarer. Nice progress on your sampler.

FOS. Really like the millenium sampler, can appreciate the work that's gone into it. Love the keep calm, I need one of those for tea drinking! Imagine is coming along great.

On the subject of tree books......I too have a massive stash, I love reading and have always got a book on the go. I tend not to buy too many these days because of the size of my stash but if I see a bargain I'll have it :D
Same with cross stitch really. I have plenty of kits to do and will only buy one if it's a mega bargain.

Decided to call WOXS today as I hadn't received my magazine only to be told the bank details they have ffor me are incorrect. To cut a very long story short they re-took the details and the next magazine I will receive will be next month so no WOXS for me this month. :( As I was about to go off the phone the man offered me other magazines 3 for £1, well it would have been rude to say no so I have ended up subscribing to Cross Stitch Cardshop for 3 months as well. :D

Ack! I got a new bank card this month, I wonder if I will have to give them a ring???

Have been doing some cross stitch this week for the first time in what seems like ages! :j I have started the free kit (All our yesterdays) that came with WOXS and also came across my Snoopy Bookmark so started stitching that again.:D
Just started the AOY kit that came with WOXS. Just done the plum colour and just had enough thread - will have to be careful with the others. It seems quite a fiddly little bit of fabric too.

Let me know how you two get on please. As I have all but finished it, but I didn't have enough light green yet WAY too much dark green. Did you both get two lots of dark green and one lot of light green? Because I had a full set of dark green and one strand left over, so I was wondering whether they meant to just add one dark green and two light greens?

  • Hi ladies,
just a quick pop in to let you know I am home, earlier than planned!
The op seems to have gone as well as it could, although I am still at risk of a bleed so have to take it easy for 6 weeks.
I was offered the choice of staying in another night, but as the Dr was happy for me to go, and the ward had a suspected bug going round I came home! (did not think a stomach bug would do my sore tummy any good!)

Thanks for all your kind messages!
It is good to be home, although not impressed that DS now has chicken pox :( and worse than DD had them!

Just checked Soulie and I have one light green and two dark green as well. I have only done the plum, white and red colours so far and have had very little spare. Have had to put it away for the night as I have had trouble holding onto such a small bit of fabric. It is my sil's birthday next Sunday so if I get this done that will be her card sorted - this is me being mse :p - won't let on that it was a freebie.

Woo Hoo - lovely to see that you are back home AM and got your op over and done with. Make sure that you take things easy and get plenty of rest although that might be a wee bit difficult with DS and his chicken pox. Hope he doesn't suffer too much.

On the subject of books - I am ashamed to say that I never seem to have any time left these days for reading. :o By the time I have done what has to be done, cross stitch and catching up with forums etc. its bed time (and that is never before midnight and I'm usually up and about 6.00 am). Time management maybe needs investigation.

    Take care everyone,

I'm the same b_e_g, never enough time in the day! I've got 4 or 5 unread books on my kindle, a couple of new tree books and a whole stack of books I'd like to re-read. Now I'm stitching at lunch time I haven't been reading at all :rotfl:

Glad you're back AM, and everything went as well as it could. I have to say I'd have left the hospital asap as well. Just make sure you take it easy. If you were anywhere near me I'd be popping over to bring you tea and magazines :)

In stitchy news, my order from sew and so arrived on Saturday, super fast! I took the charts out of the Lizzie*Kate kits to have a nosey and then went and left one behind at my mum's  Luckily she found it, was so worried I'd gone and lost it!!

The monsters are coming along, didn't get as much done as I hoped, kept getting distracted by wedding stuff online! I have finished the R, I and L apart from the backstitch, will post a pic later.

    Happy sunny Monday all xx

    morning all
hope everyone survived the rain and storms and escaped flood damamge.
susan i know what you mean about reading instructions properly, freds shell ended up bieng not quite according to the chart as i mixed up the first two symbols and ended up havng to substitute a colour and slightly change the tortoiseshell pattern. either i got away with it or everyone on here was too kind to say if they noticed. and over the weekend titanics anchor got restitched due to me noticing id miscounted a square and made it slightly longer than it sholud have been.
    AM glad you are home
hope all the porlies are improving from last week
