Louise - what a shame about your brother (and your wasted stitching). I know how you feel - I did a lovely wedding sampler for a cousin and set it into a wooden Framecraft tray. I couldn't help wondering what would happen to it when I heard that they had split up (I didn't have the check to ask for it back as I could have reused the tray :D)
Your medieval lady looks stunning. Who is the designer? What fabric are you going to use for Circe the Sorceress? The "bewitched" jobelan from Polstitches is stunning. I also like Calipso (mermaid) especially on the shaded evenweave

LOL - I don't suppose it would hurt to ask what will happen to it.

I bought the Bewitched fabric when I bought Circe, I don't think any other material could have measured up tbh. It's all sitting now waiting to go...temptng...very tempting....:o

The medieval lady is designed by Sandy Littlejohns and is from the April 2005 Crosstitcher mag (didn't realise I'd had it that long till I looked it up there!)

Look forward to seeing a pic of your completed sampler :D

Aneres - wow - love the colours.

sk00bie - good luck with the gold - stitching with the metallic threads is worse for me than the dreaded french knots. It will be worth it in the end. Look forward to seeing your update.

FOS - well done with Millenium Sampler. Looking forward to seeing your updates.

BOBBIES MUMMY - hope you're feeling better now.

No stitching for me so far today as I've been decorating at Mums and am supposed to be going to gym tonight

Just received WOXS and had a quick flick through. Nothing has jumped out at me as ' I must do that' and the All Our Yesterdays free gift is ok but I dont think I like the patterned card that comes with it. Will have to have another look later when I have more time.

Sweetcarer - your blue sampler is coming along a treat, I really like it. Whats the finished design like (sorry if you have posted it and I've missed it).
Footprints is a lovely poem. Could you contact the site and ask them to keep you the kit until next month?

Lasting for a month on half a month's money isn't funny but it will be a real MSE achievement :money: and you will deserve your stitchy treat next month:)

I might see if I can email them, if not the flexible friend may need to be used (I pay it off each month), wehave just had the bill for this month so technically if I pay for it now it wont be in the bills until next month. Hopefully you follow my logic. Think I may have talked myself into ordering it, will have another look tonight.

Louise - your medieval lady is looking good. How annoying that your piece got lost in the post.

AM - hope your tooth has settled down now. I hate going to the dentist as my teeth always hurt after a visit.

Flat eric- I agree with Louise about changing the colours in the sewing box kit picture. I did the same with the patchwork horse I stitched as I wanted it to be generic rather than for a girl.

Mags-Cats - enjoy your threads. Have they arrived yet? Also look forward to seeing the finished Tenby Harbour.

Annares - your Happy Happy House is growing fast.

SkOObie1 - like the cats. I hate stitching in gold thread it always takes so long.

I love seeing everyones updates. Haven't received my copy of WOXS yet but at least I know it's on its way now.

Sorry for the long post was away on Cub camp over the weekend so had to catch up. Too busy with camp to do any stitching over the weekend and tired tonight as a result so unlikely to do any before tomorrow night.

Everyone is a bit quiet - does that mean you are all busy stitching? :D

  • I wish Louise! :rotfl:
I am packing and cleaning ready for Op day (as if I don't do it I will come home to an absolute pigsty!)
And sulking as I still have toothache!

Thanks for the well wishes ladies.
Starting to worry about the op, although worrying will achieve nothing.

Hope others are managing a stitchy day. Loving all the updates ladies.

Louise - I did a bit last night, will try to post a picture later. Just about to go to the dreaded Hobbycraft to take somthing back, hopefully get a refund. I'm normally at work on a Tuesday but swapped so working Thursday this week. going to do all my running around today so I can have a day to myself tomorrow to stitch and sew (hopefully - unless my Dad finds out I'm off and fills my day with something else).

Good luck for the op AM.
