I chose to do it as I like all the block colours.0 -
wow - I can see the appeal, not my cuppa tea (i hate stitching in blocks) but love it all the same. (if you see what i mean)loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
Hiya Ladies,
Hope everyone is well.
Louise - Welcome back, lovely progress on your medieval lady
sweetcarer - That sampler looks lovely so far, can't wait to see the finished article
Chicky & Aneres - love your progress too!
Am just popping to post my progress on the blackwork cats;
And this is what I'm aiming for!
It's taking a while as the gold outline is very fiddly!
Hoping to get my 100 threads from Across town tomorrow, need to start on my nephews monster door sign, only 2 weeks till his birthday :eek:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger No. 26 :hello:XStitch to do list:-- Birth Sampler -- Christmas Angel -- Mum's Xmas Stitch -- Christmas decs 3 & 4 -- Xmas Bird ---- Snowflake Sonata -- Be Jolly -- JE Unicorn -- Start HAED!!! --0 -
Morning everyone.
With a bit of burning of the midnight oil I managed to finish my Millennium Sampler :j Just need to wash and iron it and then I can take a photo. Another UFO completed thanks to this group - you are all brilliant :T
Now I plan to carry on with Sophie's Stocking and start on Imagine - I've found a small piece of sparkly hand dyed Polstitches evenweave which will be ideal.0 -
Dorastar - well done on getting some of your Welsh chapel completed. Michael Powell designs are delightful - so original
Flat Eric - the sewing box kit is very cute. You should be able to change the colours by looking at what is in the key - if there are 4 shades of blue you would need 4 shades of brown or pink or purple. I also thought this one is great fun
MrsMoneypenny - good progress on Fred the tortoise
augustsmummy - will be thinking of you later this week; hope all goes well
Louise - what a shame about your brother (and your wasted stitching). I know how you feel - I did a lovely wedding sampler for a cousin and set it into a wooden Framecraft tray. I couldn't help wondering what would happen to it when I heard that they had split up (I didn't have the check to ask for it back as I could have reused the tray)
Your medieval lady looks stunning. Who is the designer? What fabric are you going to use for Circe the Sorceress? The "bewitched" jobelan from Polstitches is stunning. I also like Calipso (mermaid) especially on the shaded evenweave
Mags cat - know what you mean about looking instead of using stash - I'm like that with fabric
Aneres - love Happy Happy House - very different and modern
Skoobie - loving the blackwork cat0 -
I forgot to say yesterday. I would like to say a big thank you for all your comments on my progress of my Dragon. :jcross stitch cafe #90 UFO's 6 to finish in 2013, and loads of new kits to boot
