    Flowersofscotland - love your cushion.

The little boy blue and bear birth annoucment are great - can't remember who stitched them (sorry).

Maria - I suufer from migraines and they can be scary. I had one the other month that pulled the one side of my face down and I was convinced I'd had a stroke - but thank God I hadn't. I know another man who was told by the hospital he may have had a stroke and after tests they said it was a severe migraine. So the upshot of this is don't worry too much, go for the tests and see what they say.

Quick question - can anyone remember the name of the designer that did the charts for the Christmas designs that looked like trees etc but spelt things like peace facing forward and back? I can't remember who the charts were so any help greatly appreciated. I've tried "googling" but can't find it. No doubt my discription is rubbish.

The word trees were me and the designer is M Designs
Here is the link to the designer's site but some of the trees were in Just Cross Stitch magazines of which I may have spare copies ;) so let me know if there are any that you particularly like

Maria. Sorry to read about your migraine and hope all goes well next week. I too suffer from migraines but thankfully not very often (touches wood, don't want to jjinx myself!)

Mrs-mp. I agree with skoobie and would use pearly white beads. Could you perhaps try some clear fishing line to attach them?

b_e_g Love the card, very pretty.

    Catwoman. Nice progress!
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:

Ooo what a good idea shelly, I didn't think of that. :o

Great progress on the dragon catwoman!

Have been working on my cards at lunch (hoping to build up a stash of them after I'm done with the SILs butterfly!) but no stitching at home last night.

Went with my mum and sister to see Master Class at the Vaudeville theatre, which was excellent. :)

Hoping that all my threads I ordered from Across Town come today or tomorrow so I can make a start on my nephews name sign. Will spend tonight charting the letters and hopefully start tomorrow. If not I suppose I'll work on Mums blackwork cats, although I know I won't get them done for her birthday on Monday.

tellmeitsfriday - look what day it is again!

    Happy Friday everyone!

I just took a look at the link and you can have can have custom names done. That would be a very clever gift.
I know I've seen one made up in a needlework store in Denver spelling Colorado, so maybe that's how they got that one?

catwoman - you're doing really well with the dragon. At this rate you'll have it completed in no time at all.

Chicky - the palace is taking shape nicely.

Flowersof scotland - Thanks for the link to the stitchy tress I think they are great. Do you think variagated thread would work with them? You have mail.

Non-stitchy alert. I've washed my quilting fabric and ironed it ready to cut out next week. Off to cub camp this weekend (yes in the pouring rain and threatened thunder) I must be mad.

On a stitchy note, not sure if you remember me wittering on about stitching the Footprints verse. Well I've managed to find the kit which is in the shape of a cross, made by Bucilla on a UK website for £17.99. My husband has just changed jobs so money is a bit tight this month as we hadn't budgeted for a month of half money. So hopefully next month I can treat myself - if it's still in stock.

If it were me and there was any chance that in hte future I may want to hang them together I would change to white aida. White doesn't cost alot so the small expense will be worth it - in my opinion. Look forward to seeing photos.

Thank you, I am coming to that conclusion, the more I think about it.

How do you post photos please? I can't see a button for add image.

Needwillpower - here's the details on how to post a picture.

How to share your pics from FLIKR:
    1) Go to the picture you want to show us click the 'Share This' button on the top left of the picture, this will show you a number of options and the one you need is called 'Grab the HTML/BBCode', Tick the button for BBCode and it'll convert the code to what you need.
    2) Copy the text in the box and paste it into a new post on MSE and it should have everything you need to insert the image into your post. You can check this by clicking Preview Message.

If you need to know a bit more have a quick look at the first post and there loads of info.

I think you can add photos directly as well but I always go through flikr. Hope that helps.

I didn't feel like I was going to rip it, I think it would be quite hard to as it's actually more like card than paper! The only thing you need to do it make sure you wash your hands before stitching as you won't be able to wash the completed work!

I've got two more similar designs left to do, will probably bring them in to work as they are small, but only when I've finished all the birthday cards I need to do!

    /QUOTE]

Thanks Skoobie This has encouraged me to try stitching paper for a Christmas decoration or 2 (though I'm not committing to which Christmas :D )
