Flowerofscotland - Thanks for that I thought as much, but wanted to check before I put any beads on it. I think I will use 2 strands of thread just to make sure that they are secure.
Thanks tellmeitsfriday. Wanted to make sure, going to do these for dds party bags and then get back to my lady. All was going well yesterday till about 3pm when I had a funny turn outside school, could see or hear so rung husband who works just down the road and he came and got me the kids and car, told him I needed to go home and he took one look at me and drove me straight to a&e, I can't remember anything. Apparently I was talking jibber jabber, was making no sense, couldn't remember kids names, was shaking, deathly white, husband organised for kids and car to be picked up and stayed with me, a couple of paracetamals and tests later including a brain scan, ended up I had had a server migraine and anemia. So cue a day on the sofa!

Sorry for off topic but I wanted to tell someone, and I'm not allowed out, hubby has decided!

Thats awful, hope you are feeling a lot better. I have heard that they do tend to knock you off your feet if you have a migraine.

can i ask a beady question, im thinking of using beads as stars instead of french knots on my titanic but most of the area they will be on is unstitched navy adia, given that would you stitch the beads on with navy so that the threads going from bead to bead dont show through the fabric?
    thank you in advance

Sorry to go off topic, but how do you do those "clicky1" etc??

    Hi Lancs-lady;

To do the links, go to the page you want to link to and copy the url.
Then come back to MSE and type the text you want to make into the link. Then highlight it and click on the icon at the top of the reply box that looks like an earth with a link on it.
Paste your URL into the box that pops up, click OK and bob's your uncle, your highlighted text should be a link.

Hope this makes sense, if not let us know and hopefully someone else can explain better!

mrs-moneypenny - what colour are the beads? If they are light coloured I would use light thread, I don't think this would be so bad behind the navy aida as dark thread is on light fabric.

maria - oh no, poor you! really hope all is ok with the tests and all, will be thinking of you.

sk00bie i havent got any beads yet i just thought it would look nicer with little twinkly glass bead stars instead of misshaped french knots of varying sizes, im thinking maybe white or slivery i think clear would get lost and not be very visible. what do you think?
a quick count on the photo on the outside of the kit and i'd estimate there are about 100 stars (now you know why id sooner not french knot them all) in the proper instructions they are worked in pale yellow

Haha yes I'd definitely rather do beads too! They probably take the same amount of time to do, but my knots always come undone, and as you say, are different sizes!

If it were me I'd do pearly white beads I think, in which case I'd use light coloured thread. If you aren't sure on thread colour, you could do a little cluster of each and see which you prefer?

    Flowersofscotland - love your cushion.

The little boy blue and bear birth annoucment are great - can't remember who stitched them (sorry).

Maria - I suufer from migraines and they can be scary. I had one the other month that pulled the one side of my face down and I was convinced I'd had a stroke - but thank God I hadn't. I know another man who was told by the hospital he may have had a stroke and after tests they said it was a severe migraine. So the upshot of this is don't worry too much, go for the tests and see what they say.

Quick question - can anyone remember the name of the designer that did the charts for the Christmas designs that looked like trees etc but spelt things like peace facing forward and back? I can't remember who the charts were so any help greatly appreciated. I've tried "googling" but can't find it. No doubt my discription is rubbish.
