PAP - is he a dinosaur or a dragon? I think he looks like a dragon but you've called him dino so I'm not sure. He is really nice, are you stitching him for something/someone special?

:rotfl: Can you tell how tired I was! Yes its a dragon, why I called it a dino no one knows. He is lovely, I was worried about stitching it in such a low count but it looks very nice, more 3D iyswim. No just because I liked the design, I found it on ebay. I want to get this finished then start on the roses while doing bits of London.

Now off to stitch while catching up on the weekends tv :T

Has anyone stitched any All Our Yesterdays designs? I have started the 'Grandchildren are Special' for my Mum as it is right with 3 boys and 2 girls but I can't seem to find any motivation with it. The colours don't seem to look right on the little bit I have done. Did anyone else find this?

    Regards

I'm pretty certain that Little Boy Blue that sweetcarer is stitching is an AOY design. I've done a small design and it was OK. Which colours are you worried don't look right?

loving everyones updates and hope all are well
flowerofscotland you have done some beautiful work ive just been admiring your flicker photos.
that is the chart i fell in love with,[STRIKE] if [/STRIKE]when i get it ill borrow your idea of taking 'noel' off so it can display though the winter rather than just christmas.
spent most of the weekend working on titantic and made really good progress (on a small are of sky):rotfl:going with the photcopy of the chart and crossing off as i work method. nd loving my new frame (its an 'able stretcher' one incase anyone else has come across them, lady in shop recommended it)
my gran died last thursday:( so a sad weekend getting my head round that, stitching helped as i concentrated on that instead of thinking about sad things.
hugs to all that need them

Very sorry to hear about your gran. Maybe you could plan to stitch something in memory of her (like a favourite flower, favourite place or activity)?

I'm going to do this too. I've bought a kit with some snowdrops in, as they remind me of my grandma. Not brought myself to start it yet, though. 2 years since she died, and it's still very raw. Found myself crying during Torville & Dean's bolero on Dancing On Ice last night. She would've loved watching it.

I also used my tesco club card vouchers to dedicate some trees in a nearby forest (through Wodland Trust). As she's buried in the Forest of Dean, it's too far for me to go, so I like that I can still be with her by going to this forest a few miles away.

    Hi everyone,

I been making boxes for charity 40 of them thats why I`ve not been around, didnt realise they`d be so time consuming. They were well received so thats my good deed for the day done.

mrs moneypenny - sorry to hear about your gran, thoughts are with you and yours

louise - i can sympathise with you with your sister. And when my mum passed away I decided not to speak to my sister (shes 40 now) again, even left her with everything...have it was my answer to everything. I can honestly say I am happier not speaking to her than I ever been, have more confidence in myself, she told me I was ugly for 30 years...in fact my mother banned the word and my sister changed it to unfortunate. I do think about her, her being my little sister but wouldnt want to go back...

thank you everyone for sharing your pictures, I love looking at them and with more practice hopefully I`ll get there. Nearly finished my freebie, so hopefully tonight I will and then I can photograph it tomorrow.

I love the african horizon, I love giraffes and its beautiful

I been looking for a dragon. A welsh one, would like to do it for my cousin who is ill , I spent all the six nations hoping wales would win for him. Any welsh thing would do really, just want to put a piece on about the grand slam.

flat eric - I would have left the person too if they looked alright, im abit dubious aout people stopping. If he was really really ill I would have stayed though. I not really sure if I would though in hindsight, it would depend on lots of things

debtdalek glad you had a good time and the coach managed to raise some money for a local hospice

nmm that would look stunning when done

postingalwaysposting your dragon is coming along great

thanks flowerofscotland I am thinking of getting this (the father christmas one) or this or even cinderella one. The only thing is for the father xmas and the cinderella I missed the charts in the mags, so it might be more expensive. When I buy the chart and fabric, do I have to buy the threads and beads seperate if I buy from them?
The medeval one looks stunning, but I might look elsewhere for this one.

Big hugs for people that need it

Now I think back, I do wonder whether I did the right thing even calling an ambulance for the chap but I was caught off guard and in my own little world - its monday, get into work and start the day etc. What are you meant to say to someone who by all accounts looks and appears ok but is claiming to be unwell and wanting help? My gut feeling now when I look back is that his appreciation of what our ambulance service do is somewhat distorted and I feel guilty that I played a part in calling them. I don't think he was ill - I think he was suffering from mondayitus. Quite what I would have done if he had done a runner with my mobile while talking to them, I do not know!

Not sure I will manage any cross stitch this evening as I am quite tired and I don't want to be making any mistakes.
