You all made me giggle with your waxing experiences.

I am qualified in waxing - I did a night class last year with my best friend and we gained our HN (higher national unit) in depilation.

We all had to practise on each other - that was fun (not lol).

I am saving up for a waxing system to do it at home and my friend is hoping to start her own wee business.

    Kind wishes to all

Lancs-Lady - I did metallic thread, again 2 strands, instead of beads on the Lavendar and Lace I did. Looked fine.

Louise - maybe tomorrow you will feel differently about it. Chin up, I know it must be hard to find motivation at times, but remember we all need to see your progress. :D

Sweetcarer - if only I lived closer I'd come to you, for all but my underarms as others have said I too can't cope with thembeing waxed.

  • Completely off topic I know, but did anyone apply for jubilee concert tickets and does anyone know if the winners have been notified yet? I really really want some!

Row of Love - slow going as the chart is coloured so it seems a bit harder to read. Something I've always wanted to stitch and it was a major fleabay bargain!!

Progress is slower on this than I expected for such a simple design!!

This is the AOY design I mentioned yesterday. What I have started to stitch is the middle character - might get better the more i stitch!!

Hi Emma I think these are all lovely designs and you can see you have made progress on them.

Is this Row of Love? I think it is from what you have stitched so far. what a fabulously cute picture and your children will love it. Although it is quite a big kit I find that stitching one bear at a time helps as you can really see the progress. Have you tried photocopying the colour chart into black and white with the contrast increased on the copier? If there are symbols under the colours this can work. I prefer working from black and white charts to colour charts although I think I am in the minority as all the magazines swapped over a few years ago and they said they had researched preferences among their readers.

I know what you mean about the Home Sweet Home design - you would think it would be quick but it looks as though there are a number of colour changes. I'm doing a sampler called 26 stitches and each letter takes a while so I set myself the task of just doing one letter in a session.

I'm sure AOY will be worth your effort. Are you going to add the grandchildren's names to make it more personal?

Looking forward to seeing your next progress reports - every stitch counts:)

We will encourage you to get it finished and it will certainly be worth it. Well done on getting it at a bargain price - another good reason to carry on stitching otherwise it wasn't a bargain :D

Soulie this looks amazing and you have made a lot of progress. Hope you enjoy your next project in the rotation more than this one :)

Thank you. And yes, I am enjoying this current project in my rotation, so much so it is almost finished!

Everyone else's projects are looking good too!

Just popped in for a quick check on everyone. No stitching for me again. We have a waterbed, or should I say had a waterbed, which developed a leak during Monday night/Tuesday morning. Last night was spent emptying it to try to find the leak, which we didn't find. Slept on the floor on a blow up bed last night.

    I'm now looking again.

Will try to get some stitching done later.

    Morning all

I have had a sort out of my magazines and there are quite a few with nothing in them that I will stitch. WHat is everyone's experience of getting rid of such things - sell on as a whole magazine or try and sell the individual charts as I know many do on fleabay?

Also, decided to make a list of what kits I actually have. Could prove to be firstly a long list and secondly quite a scary one when I see just how much I have bought in the idea of actually stitching it?? Maybe we could have another thread where we all list our stash although it would soon grow far to big!!

    Regards
