Mrs-moneypenny. Sorry to hear about the loss of your Gran.

No stitching done here for a few days. Was going to yesterday but decided to try out my new iron instead. Old one packed up last monday and I got a great deal on my new one from Sainsburys. Can't complain at half price :D
Now the ironing pile isn't staring at me anymore I can get on with stitching this afternoon.

It hurt the first couple of times... I've had it done for about 10 years now, and tend to drink a cuppa while she's doing it x

cuppa ??? I would want something a bit stronger than a cuppa :rotfl:

Oooo no I couldn't do it myself... too much of a wimp :)

I used to get my eyebrows done but far too painful.

My old boss used to do her bikini line with tweezers too. Would take too long and far too painful, bad enough doing eyebrows!

I have had my legs and my eye brows waxed before. It didnt think it was that painful. I did have under my arms done once and never again that was painful. I couldnt get my bikini line that would be too painful. I have recently got my eye brows threaded.

I agree with catwoman150. WHen I got married, I had legs, eyebrows and underarms done. Legs are OK, eyebrows painful and underarms excrutiating but it does only last a few seconds and worth it by not having to shave for a while. I always get told off when I go to get waxed about ingrowing hairs - like I have time to exfoliate every day!!

What does everyone think of my WIP's I posted earlier please - need a bit of motivation to get cracking with them.

African Horizon arrived today - I'm not as excited about it now, can't really bebothered with stitching. :( Will scan and save a copy and have a go at starting later tonight, see how I get on - that new programme, The Syndicate is on ITV and part 2 of One Night is one the BBC as well so I should be home in time for them.

brednall - I think they are coming along great. You may find with AOY that it's a little harder going to start up, but once you have some of it in place, it's really aeasy to just fill in some sections quckly. What is your rotation system for the 3 pieces? Do you spend a certain amount of time on each one or just pick up whichever you fancy?

Ps regarding the waxing....never had it done professionally (don't like strangers touching me lol) and the home kits I tried flipping HURT. Removal cream or shaving for me thank you very much!
