    Hi ladies.

Not much news here, have done some stitching in the week, smallish areas so it doesn't really look like I have done any at all!

Louise. Love Passion of Dance, she's beautiful!

    Hi everyone :)

Sorry I have not been about for a while. But I have done some stitching on little boy blue and at last I was able to borrow my bosses camera (our work one) and take a photo of my blue sampler part one. I have done it over a couple of weeks so its not a weekly shot.

Hope everyone is well. Been watching you all from afar. Talking of shows I used to always go to the one in Glasgow but in recent years apart from the cost I didn't find anything startling if you were only into cross stitch. Lots of other crafts. Liked going to the sew it all stall to get bits a pieces for me but now I manage to get everything online.

Also been working on my alterations for mother moon by mother moon. I love this set but I am not too keen on the bottom of the mother moon. One day I will stitch it :p

Anyway here are the pictures - keep well everyone

    Kind wishes

    sweetcarer ;)

so I've been into town today (mainly to renew my bus pass) I was full of good intentions that I would make the most of going to the shops and even contemplated going to the next $ale but in the end, I couldn't be bothered and it was a browse round waterstone$ at the cookery books, a trek round boot$ and a quick trip into m&$ for lunch! Since I've been home, I've bought a cookery book I saw in waterstone$ for my kindle and I've just woken up from my now customary saturday afternoon snooze! Now time for cross stitch!

Is anyone planning on watching BGT later ??? I will be :j

Oh and the trip to town was eventful, a car managed to drive into us (a double decker bus) as we were about to pull away from traffic lights  no one was hurt thankfully. i feel for the poor person in the car as I suspect her car suffered more than the bus.
  • I think it is probably Celtic Christmas by Lavender & Lace that has caught your eye. It's a fabulous design. I did it and left out the wording Noel so that I can keep it on display throughout winter. I have stitched Spring (now on display), Summer and Autumn in the same range and rotate them. Christmas is DH's favourite which is why I haven;t done Winter (although I love it) as he wouldn't want me to take down the Christmas one. Although these are large designs I dind them quite easy to stitch - all whole cross stitch, very little bs and hardly any confetti stitches. The main challenge for me is always the beading at the end. Good luck with stitching this - keep us updated with your progress and I know you will think it worthwhile when finished:)[/QUOTE]

Celtic Christmas is gorgeous, I've got a feeling I will be doing that in the not too distance future, although I will do like you have done and leave it on display.

I finished the Spring Angel a little while ago, just needs framing so I'll post a pic when that's finished and I've just started on the Winter Angel. I've got Autumn Angel but I'm not too sure of the colours and need to track down Summer Angel.

BGT is repeated tomorrow lunchtime. Too much good tv on tonight. Million pound drop is back too. I know Gok & Alan Carr are on it soon (maybe tonight?) so need to see that.

Haven't picked up my needle in a while. Went to Brighton for a few day earlier this week & been at the gym since trying to burn off the ice cream we ate! :rotfl:

Sorry to hear about your dad, Louise. I know what your sister said was nasty, but remember she's dealing with the news too, and sometimes you say things that are hurtful without meaning too. I know I've been a right b!tch to people when I'm stressed & I don't even realise it at the time. I'm not condoning her actions, but don't let it spoil things with your family. * hugs *

Don't forget the clocks change tomorrow morning. Hate losing an hours sleep. It throws me completely. Might need an afternoon snooze to make up for it!

And I also finished another UFO - a Paula Vaughan Quilt design which I plan to make into a cushion

I've done one more letter on my 26 stitches sampler but haven't taken a photo.

Tonight will be Sophie's Stocking I think. No stitching tomorrow - we are taking some of the grandchildren to see Disney Princesses on Ice

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the weekend.

Louise - sorry to hear about your Dad and how your sister is behaving, if this is out of character for her it might just be her way of coping.. Well done on finishing the ballerina. I looked at the book that came with WOXS and commented on the African Horizon as well. will try to hold out as have so many things to stitch and unfortunately I don't stitch as fast as you.

Soulie - your progress on white lightening (I think that's what it's called) is really good.

Chicky - sorry to hear that your hubby is being "naughty" again.

Lanc-lady - think it was you and possibly flowersofscotland that ordered the large piece off ebay. If it was you has it arrived yet? I ordered one 6/3 that was supposedly despatched 11/3 but haven't received aything yet. Just wondered if yours had arrived as I know you ordered yours a few days before me.

Now the show at the NEC, well I went. I got there half an hour before it opened and was about 8th in the queue, everyine was really friendly with people that had been there the day before letting us look at their show guides to see where different stands were. I managed to book on 3 make and takes and really enjoyed them. I did a patchwork session, a beading one (which I have to say was a waste of 30 minutes - but at least I had a rest) and a decoupage one which I enjoyed. I saw some lovely designed including a whitework piece of an angel on black or possibly very nark navy fabric which I thought quite a few of you on here would love.

The only cross stitch that I considered buying but was out of stock was this dragon http://countyneedlecraft.com/html/dragon.html. I might invest in the chart in the future but no rush.

I only spent £30. I bought a Jelly Roll for quilting, some wonderweb type stuff and half a metre of some fabric with elephants on. So nothing to do with cross stitch.

Sorry for long post will slink off now to continue watching The Voice followed by BGT.
