hi, does any one know where i can get reasonable priced bibs to cross stitch onto. thankyou

I would suggest you have a look on sewandso.co.uk ? as they are usually a good benchmark for how much something should cost and then have a look on ebay to see how prices compare?

My best knitting tip is You-Tube..

    What're you stuck on?

I like the occassional knit when I can't concentrate enough on x-stitch :)

Yes you tube taught me how to do a slip knot yesterday and then reminded me how to cast on ! I remembered how to knit and purl though :T I am having a practice run at the moment. will post a picture later if thats ok.
  • PP, ahh yes I found it last night after asking about it. It is beautiful but I can't commit to stitching it so I haven't kept the chart. Can't wait to see you finish it though, are you turning it into anything once you are done?

BF got to pick out of three projects/designs. He picked the flowers :) I think I will turn it into the suggested cushion though as I have done it on a different count I will not be able to use the suggested lengths from the mag for the cusion size. never make things simple for myself do I? lol.

yours looks like its coming along nicely.
it terms of baby stitching, I have in my possesion some old books/charts for kids including teddies and fairytale stuff. Let me know if thats the sort of thing cos I can scan and email ;)

    hugs to all.
    have a stitchy sunday.
I Love My Library....when I finish/don't like a book, no one gets upset when I return it!
    Starting 210
    7lbs this month = 5.5
    Total loss = 5.5
    Too many UFOs to count

THe backstitch on this one much nicer than the flower holding one as there was much less of it. I used a sharp (embroidery) needle as well and that made it alot easier. Have a MP bookmark to do whihc has loads of backstitch so I keep persevering on it. Helps when it brings the peice to life.

Well as of Wed this was how I had got along with the roses, I have got a little further on but not a lot due to this and that, I had hoped to be finished by the end of Feb but it's not looking likely - unless I can deem 29th a completly extra day, so why do anything, just stitch - I may run that past the husband. Hmmmm I am REALLY liking that idea!!!!

KATYLIZ - I am loving the African Sunset! The colours are fantastic! My inlaws are currently on the game reserves in SA - something like this would be a fantastic present for them - too bad I dont like them ha ha ha ha. Have you been somewhere wonderful and this si why you chose to stitch it?

PERFECT PARADOX - I adore your roses - they will look fantasic as a cushion, I am quite enjoying my roses - I think its because they look like nothing and then you stand away and you get the full effect. *LOUISE* is there a reason you dislike stitching roses?

POSTING ALWAYS POSTING - I agree with the others it's the amount of counting that makes it seems so slow - but it looks fantastic? Do I remember it is for a themed room? What colour will the wall be it's going on?

OCEMEER - your Valentine is very cute, and framed in the card so neatly! Enjoy your time with your OH

FLAT ERIC - Well done with the knitting!!! Far too advanced for me I'm afraid - even at school the teacher did mine (v embarrassing) And I'm sure you enjoyed your week off to stitch - wonderful idea and your cat coaster was v cool.

I will def try and update this wed - who knows it maybe my 2nd finish! Keep stitching everyone - I am sure we should all go for a mass "down tools" on the 29th ....... ohhhhhh unless you are planning to propose!!!!!!!

    xoxo
