not sure if im happy or not with how much i have got done !!
You should be happy!:T
Looking at it, there's been a lot of counting done and not very much areas which you could fill in as block colours, that is a longer process so I think you've done a fair bit actuallyCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. Do we have any knitters amongst us ?? I have posted on the knitters thread because I want to have a go at knitting a pompom scarf using this pompom wool but all has gone awry! I am rather
:(:( and have decided that best stick with what I know and go back to cross stitching. If you have any knitting tips then please share. I am going to leave for another day and shall probably have a go at boring knitting practising casting on / knitting / purl etc before I try my pompom project.
Hope everyone has a lovely evening planned. Meant to be going down the pub later but have decided all I want to do is stitch so thats the plan :T
My best knitting tip is You-Tube..
What're you stuck on?
I like the occassional knit when I can't concentrate enough on x-stitch0 -
*sorry for the huge post, I have been catching up and put an update at the bottom*
Alis, thanks it will take a long time to stitch anyways. Framing is a long way off so ages to save.
Louise, it will keep me busy but thats not a bad thing. I just wish I stitch a bit faster. However looking at the chart this one is less scattered stitches and more blocky.
Kittywight, your chick looks ever so cuteI have spotted them in the mag too but best not add anything to my list just now.
BEG, I hope I don't fall out of love with the colour blue, I have areadly had to put down the baby blue dragonHope you manage to find another tulips kit for your friend, it is amazing, I can see why she wants it.
Maria, thanks I have joined the facebook pages now. Will not post on there/here who I am but if anyone wants to know I will gladly PM them. What is that you are stitching now, I have missed itYou look like you are making good progress however.
PP, ahh yes I found it last night after asking about it. It is beautiful but I can't commit to stitching it so I haven't kept the chart. Can't wait to see you finish it though, are you turning it into anything once you are done?
Chicky, love the finished troutbeck. I was a little worried about it but it looks amazing now finished. Very subtle but you can see teh details in it too.
Flateric, love your little easter pictures, ever so cute.

London last time you saw it -
London tonight (I have packed it up for tonight) -
Slowly getting there, thats the last page one the right so thats how long the finished piece will be. Just another full page to add to the left
Need to add to my stitching list this year though. A pair of friends are pregnant, she has lost a baby before so I really want to do a sampler. Haven't found what I am looking for yet, but I want something quite old, simple and fast :rotfl:0 -
Evening pap sorry I can't post links because I'm on my phone but if you got to page 44 of this thread moosmummy who nudged me the chart has posted a link its post number #862. Sorry really should learn how to do links on my phone !13 in 2013 challenge 9/130

Maria - I think that's great progress, as Louise said it is so much harder to keep up a decent speed when there aren't blocks of colour. I find with African Sunset that apart from the sky the whole thing has been loads of counting and I know it can feel like slow progress.
PAP- London is coming along nicely.
Flat Eric - I agree with tmif about You Tube. I've been trying to learn to knit for a while now, and without watching clips on there I wouldn't have had a clue what to do! I have to admit I'm still pretty useless though!!Cross Stitch Cafe member no.800 -
I have finished two easter cards and did start two more last night but stitching with a cream thread after 9pm at night (for a bunny) well it was hard on the eyes so I gave up and watched the box instead although I did start some basic knitting but I found I had to concentrate on that even more than my cross stitch whilst watching tv!
The chick with flower card - well I helpfully started it just a few aida blocks from the with love at easter design so now I have cut them to size, the chick and flower - its more suited to a gift tag than a easter greeting card - what would the best way be to stick the material on to a card? should I iron on that interfacing (is that whats its called) first ? then double sided sticky tape??0 -
Maria.
I agree with Louise and Katy, you have done well what with the counting. I know when I get areas like that it takes me ages to do a few stitches. I count, mark the fabric, count again, put the first stitch in, count again to make sure then off I go.....usually though I have a miscount to correct:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
Thanks for the comments ladies didn't think of it that way x13 in 2013 challenge 9/130
