A couple did survive and I need to reframe as the frames got damaged. I love the rennie mackintosh - think I did something similar a few years back for someones 40th - but I do love the pattern. Where from?
I'm not sure - it was either WOXS or No1 Crosstitcher but it was a few years ago. I had a look through my completed charts but it's not there - I have a feeling I gave it to someone ages ago.Cross Stitcher dropped through my door tonight and I have to say that there are lots of designs for a change that I like.
What projects do you all have planned ?
Typical - one month after I cancel my subs it gets good! :rotfl:
For 2012 I have planned so far:
Chained Fairy
Personalised coasters (The ones I made for my office went down VERY well, I have requests for another half a dozen, including for the big boss lol)
Candlelight
Sweetie Jars (Low priority though)
The Passion of Dance (which I unearthed tonight at long last!)
Touched by Magic
And assuming I get TBM completed, my next large project will be Lighthouse of Dreams - I bought the chart a couple of years ago but keep getting sidetracked by HAED'sCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. So after 3hr 35min...
Onto the backstitch today, there are two very small mistakes on that but I am hoping it won't throw the backstitch out. Its definatly my fault but working on such a small chart now I am used to large ones its really hard. Next time I use a magazine chart I am going to try and get it enlarged.
Through that magazine though I have found another London kit I really want to try, its a John Clayton, anyone stitched his stuff before? What are the charts like?0 -
I've done a few of his circular designs and found it's much easier to stitch them on evenweave as he tends to use half height and half depth stitches, as well as fractional ones. Not many, but enough to mean evenweave makes life easier0

Hi Pap - love your piccie. My Tulip Fields were John Clayton - very clear chart.
Still waiting to get out for mount - things have ground to halt as we found out on Thurs that my b-i-l had died suddenly. Might get a chance to get out during the week.

I think I probably chose to do Santas list next because it is quite simple, although it looks like it isn't, iykwim?
Looking forward to your update flower of scotland.0 -
I think the two mermaids in the top section, and the winter scene as there was a lot of detailed work in them. Also the map was well worth the effort (Just hoping Europe doesn't let any more countries join in now haha) and the purple Stealing the Moon - these are the ones I am going to try and get framed next.
Louise I keep going back to your pictures and admiring them again. I also love the 2 Mermaids and having stitched some Mirabilia mermaids myself I know how much work goes into them. The Europe map is fantastic - was it in a magazine or kit? who is the designer? I don't recall seeing anything similar. Love the flamingoes and really admire your perseverance with all those shades of pinks.
Thanks again for sharing0 -

My project are... Finish London, Finish the Gorjuss Foxes and baby dragon.
Then I want to start/finish... Letting go, This fizzy moon, a MP bookmark, a rose and some poppies (maybe).
However have had word from Al and my fabric arrived today so my new kit is on its way. Apparently the fabric for letting go is huge! I think that will be a kit that is worked on throughout the year :rotfl: I will get an image of the fabric tomorrow if it arrives
:rotfl: It was meant for last xmas ! but I never really got very far with it so I am allowing myself plenty of time. If I have to rush a project, I don't enjoy it ! I need to work out my projects for the year so thats the plan this weekend
Well I'm back from town and I am completely worn out ! not helped by getting up early this morning - some silly person booked themselves a 9am hair appointment!
Suspect I may grab the cat and have an afternoon snooze :T0 -

I am really looking forward to my week off although I'm too tired at the moment to fully appreciate that I have five duvet days ahead !
Cross Stitcher dropped through my door tonight and I have to say that there are lots of designs for a change that I like.

Hope you enjoy your stitchy week off - it sounds wonderful
What designs do you like in Cross Stitcher? I haven't read it properly, just flicked through and am very tempted by the Diamond Jubilee cushion although I think I would stitch it with perle threads instead of 4 strands of normal DMC. My mum would like this I think. I don't stitch her a Mother's Day card since I discovered that she throws them out just like a bought one but she does keep stitched pictures and items - last year I mounted a cross stitch design in a small tray which she keeps on her dressing table. She wouldn't throw out a cushion (would she?):eek:0
