It's called 'A Treasured Time' I started it in 2005 after DS2 was born but was inspired by the cafe to finish it, think it was last year sometime'

I hadn't seen your santa pic - It is gorgeous, looks fairly uncomplicated to stitch too, that writing should come together pretty fast.:T

Thanks for this, A Treasured Time seems to have added itself to my list now as well! How on earth do you remember all of the names of your projects?! I'm so impressed :rotfl:

I think I probably chose to do Santas list next because it is quite simple, although it looks like it isn't, iykwim?

Welcome back Keiss! Hope you get some stitching done, although I know what's it's like, finding time amid all the other crafty things!

Looking forward to your update flower of scotland.

Flat_eric, am very jealous of your stitchy week off :o

  • Louise - I don't know how I managed to miss your pictures. You surely deserve a medal, never mind a mention in the magazine!

I had a good sort out last week of kits, charts, UFO's etc. (The magazines and binders are still a WOP)

Anyway, during the clear up, I realised that I had bought a beautiful sampler for the Queens Golden Jubilee!!! That means it has to get done this year, otherwise it really isn't going to be worth doing and it's a gorgeous kit.

    Thanks Ailsb

I tend to take notions, so do knitting for a while, then cross stitch, then card marking - lol. Got lots of wedding stationery to make at the moment, so will hope to hear back from Al, soon.

    Thanks again,

    Sal

Louise - all I can say is what others have already said - WOW and AMAZING. You could always try selling some if you needed some extra cash. Have to say I probably wouldn't do this as I don't think people see the work that's gone into them and therefore want to pay very little for them.

Sally - welcome to the Cafe. Good luck on getting your chart, remember to let us see the progress.

I'm way behind on this thread even though it's only been about a week since I checked, so much going on! I've only read the last couple of pages, but Louise WOW! I can't imagine ever having that many completed pieces even if I stitched until I was very very old. They should definitely put you in the magazine!!

I went out last Sunday thinking I only needed a few thread colours in order to start on the Disney Princess, but when I double checked and added it all up I realised it would have cost me a lot to buy everything I needed. So I browsed the kits instead and came home with a Pooh design (I can't think what it's called though!). I'm really enjoying stitching it and doing one of my favourite topics has really restored my stitching mojo :) I'm actually happy stitching again, and liking the break from African Sunset.

Oh, and I also grabbed a plastic frame. I just got the flat sort rather than the lap frames that a lot of you ladies have been getting, but I'm very impressed :) The way it holds the tension properly is brilliant and I won't be going back to my wooden roller frame again.

    OMG...I'm speechless...

Ditto. Took my breath away that. I have given away most of my stitching, but I did lose a few favourite pieces I did for myself in the house fire. A couple did survive and I need to reframe as the frames got damaged. I love the rennie mackintosh - think I did something similar a few years back for someones 40th - but I do love the pattern. Where from?

Sazdaz - welcome There were some nice circus style letters by Emily Peacock in Cross Stitcher magazine last year (I think)

I have every letter they have produced so far - even tho I don't get the magazine now I can down load them off the craft circle (for subs people only) website - its now up to letter T.

So I am very excited to report that my stitchy holiday commences at 5pm today :T

Having been ill recently and feeling rather sorry for myself, I have decided I need a treat and have therefore opted for a week off work where I have no plans other than to relax and stitch :j

    I cannot wait :D

You enjoy FlatEric - you deserve it - not forgotten you - hope to do your wee favour this weekend.

I really am trying to get into the mood to sort out what magazines I have and not have. Just feel so exhusted these days. Just want to hibernate when it comes weekend - work is so exhusting.

Keep well everyone - where every you are

Well lazy me couldn't be bothered to cook tonight so I have had a curry ready meal for my dinner which was very nice but now I feel full and very sleepy! I do detest that on a Friday evening when the weekend is ahead that all I want is an early night and I am willing the clock to 10pm (my usual bedtime!).

I am really looking forward to my week off although I'm too tired at the moment to fully appreciate that I have five duvet days ahead !

Cross Stitcher dropped through my door tonight and I have to say that there are lots of designs for a change that I like.

I have decided that while I am off, I am going to work out what projects I would like to complete in 2012. I think I am going to work a year in advance so for example, I'm stitching my fiance's xmas card at the moment (well its my work (lunchbreak) project) and I think I shall start at some point on mothers day cards for next year plus birthday cards and of course a stash of xmas cards. I fear that although it would be nice to hand out stitched cards this year, there isn't going to be enough time.

What projects do you all have planned ?
  • Hey Flat Eric, you are getting a bit ahead stitching your fiance's xmas card!

My project are... Finish London, Finish the Gorjuss Foxes and baby dragon.
Then I want to start/finish... Letting go, This fizzy moon, a MP bookmark, a rose and some poppies (maybe).

However have had word from Al and my fabric arrived today so my new kit is on its way. Apparently the fabric for letting go is huge! I think that will be a kit that is worked on throughout the year :rotfl: I will get an image of the fabric tomorrow if it arrives
  • Evening ladies

Just finished the last stitch on my freesias picture which is going to be my Mothers Day gift for my Mum once it is framed. I will post a pic when I figure out how to do it.

Now to decide what to stitch next - an AOY design (which will also be for my Mum as it's the 'Grandchildren are Special' design) or something for my house for a change? My 'Row of Love' is an ongoing project as the chart is a bit difficult to see in the evening light.
