Could someone please advise me on how I can get his photo onto some cloth ready for stitching please?
Thanks a lot,
Sal

Hi Sally,
I use Al, if you give her any image she can produce a chart/kit/mix of kit for you. I love her charts because they are so large and very easy to follow. She is very approchable so just give her an email and she will make you a mock up of what it could look like once sitched.
Good luck!0 -
Wow I didn't get to the site at all yesterday and what a lot has happened in a day.
benny1981 Share a Little Happiness looks lovely. I think that personalising it with the couple's initials is a good idea but that's just my opinion.
Love the roses design as well
Mags cat - here is a virtual " kick up the wotsit" to help you regain your stitching mojo. Hopefully some of the wonderful work being done in here will help. Is there anything small and easy to complete you have seen that could inspire you? Tenby looks beautiful
tellmeitsfriday - thank you for the free charting software site - ideal for an initial play
FlatEric - while I did not enjoy either the procedure or the cost the 2 crowns I have on 2 of my back teeth have been great. I had the same problem - a portion of a heavily filled tooth breaking off. Consider it an investment to avoid future toothache......
maria and the imps - love Thomas and am delighted that you enjoyed stitching on evenweave. It's not for everyone though I think everyone should try it. I prefer the soft feel of the fabric while I am stitching and I also prefer the final look of the stitching especially when a lot of the fabric is left unstitched but of course that is only a personal opinion. Looking forward to seeing your Dictionary of Boots
Sazdaz - welcome There were some nice circus style letters by Emily Peacock in Cross Stitcher magazine last year (I think)
Humphrey10 - it was me who asked about stitching on patterned aida. Thanks for the response - I may have to try some
lisa26 - I always wash my finished pieces by hand using silk/wool washing liquid; rinse well and then iron on the back of the piece on top of layers of fluffy towel. This brings the stitches to life. The only thing I don't wash is hand dyed threads as these have a horrible tendency to run (especially anything red).
Soulie - love the eagle Can't help with suggestions on attaching to acetate I'm afraid. I know some people have used laminators for bookmarks but I haven't done this myself
Louise - wow don't know what to say. Looks stunning.
Skoobie1 - love Santa's List
I set myself a stitching challenge last weekend and was pleased with what I achieved. Just need to take some photos to do an update
Happy Stitching everyone0 -
That's great, thanks for your help Postingalwaysposting.

Louise - all I can say is what others have already said - WOW and AMAZING. You could always try selling some if you needed some extra cash. Have to say I probably wouldn't do this as I don't think people see the work that's gone into them and therefore want to pay very little for them.
Sally - welcome to the Cafe. Good luck on getting your chart, remember to let us see the progress.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j

Hello there
Sorry, this is my first visit to the new thread...been distracted by crafting, knitting and sewing...so not done any X-stitch for AGES!!:o
Lovely to see all your wonderful projects everyone. Still to catch up with all the pages...if I ever will!!
Wow! is all I can say Louise!! Shouldn't be surprised I supposed as you stitch so quickly. Before you ask...the Elegant Lady is still waiting to be finished...actually found her again last week ...might get back to her again this month, though have loads of other projects to do too:o
I'll try and pop on more regularly and be shamed into getting stitching again!
Have a great Friday everyone x

Thanks all - deffo gonna send it in to a magazine now :rotfl:
What are you planning to do with them all?
No idea - I keep thinking I will look through them and use them as gifts...then I find new charts which are 'more' suitable and I stitch new stuff....:oWow Louise, that is amazing!! I love the wintery scene in the first close up pic, is that a recent one?
It's called 'A Treasured Time' I started it in 2005 after DS2 was born but was inspired by the cafe to finish it, think it was last year sometime'
I hadn't seen your santa pic - It is gorgeous, looks fairly uncomplicated to stitch too, that writing should come together pretty fast.:T
OMG!!!! That is freaking AMAZING!!
I especially love the map, the lion's head (I have that one), all the tiger ones I could see and the statue of liberty (any info on that one please?)
But they all look brilliant!
PS. I bet the flamingos were a pain! All that pink arghhhh lol
The flmingoes WERE a pain! I had completed half, given up and it was when I discovered the method of pen marking the squares a couple of years back which made life so much easier and I finished the second half within 2 weeks.
The statue of liberty was a chart I found online when I first got my own computer (2003 lol!) I didn't have much stitchy stash at all so just stitched whatever I couldCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. I second this, I'm stitching one of her charts at the moment - her charts are really well organised, and she even coulours in the centre square for you so you know where to start lol:T

She must be nearly done by now??...and how's the Astronomer.....
My Elegant Lady has gone 'missing' atm. She was in my mum's living room but came down for the christmas decs. Apparently my brother put the xmas stuff back in to the attic but didn't bring the Lady back down, so she has to wait until he goes back up.Louise - your pictures of all your work is amazing! I think the two mermaids in the top section, and the winter scene as there was a lot of detailed work in them. Also the map was well worth the effort (Just hoping Europe doesn't let any more countries join in now haha) and the purple Stealing the Moon - these are the ones I am going to try and get framed next.Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. So I am very excited to report that my stitchy holiday commences at 5pm today :T
Having been ill recently and feeling rather sorry for myself, I have decided I need a treat and have therefore opted for a week off work where I have no plans other than to relax and stitch :j
I cannot wait0
