hi everyone, I went off for a couple of days. weather was kind. went upto Pickering , nice quaint little village have to say.

parking a bit if a disgrace £1.30 an hour. had to pay it as needed milk in the coop.

went in a coffee shop. a grocers and a newsagents , the people wasn't very friendly serving , quite rude in fact all of them. but the lady in the co op was lovely. I do try to support local businesses but after the treatment served up didn't go back to the other shops just the co op. shame really .

been crafting today so hopefully have something new to blog soon x

Hi Susan, what a shame the people were rude to you. Its a wonder they do any business at all if they are like that.

My sister is giving me her original Sissix cutting machine. She took it down to my Dad's yesterday so I can pick it up next time we see him. Had to hunt for a new cutting mat yesterday but found one from and American Ebay seller. I am not sure what dies she has with it so might have to look out for some of them too. I want it mainly to cut out fabric shapes.

I was hoping to get on with some sewing today as I have found someone who is trying to set up a craft fair near to me sometime in the summer but realised OH is on nights again so sewing out of the question while he is asleep.

Weighed myself this morning and have lost another 2lb so very pleased with myself, thats 10lb in first 4 weeks. Been doing a bit of sewing (for a change) been making some doll quilt and pillow sets to put on a stall if I manage to get one. Was up early this morning (too early, misread my watch and ended up sewing a the machine at 5am thinking it was 7am lol) so just need to handstitch up the openings while OH is asleep today (he's on nights).

    Hello all :j

Pips mum - not looked at Pininterest.........might give it a look for some ideas

rufus - How can you feel 'crafty' at that hour of the day...............lol I can just about open my eyes at 7am let alone be doing anything..........lol

Well now the jubilee is over shops may be open as normal and I can have a look for the 'crafty' bits I might need.
Meant to go back to the church flower festival and have another look at the craft stall there. Lady had made little cottages out of those sponge scourers with the square green flat ones for the roof..........meant to get one to see if I could make some but I'll have a go anyway.

Not much done today........foster daughter came round with baby Lily so we spent all afternoon playing with her. Oh what a lovely age to be.......not even a year old yet and sees everything as 'fun'

    Hope you're all ok:)

Well done rufus, thats excellent weight loss. I`m losing it really slowly now, 0.5 to 1lb a week, hoping it will stay off...hahahah as you know with underactive thyroid, you can gain half a stone in a week

thanks for the heads up moneypenny, i popped into asdas lots of things reduced but i wasnt tempted...bit short at the moment

pips mum, i used to like pinterest, but got caught up in the legal bit where if you pin something and someone else takes it, and dont give credit to the original person, they get a bit funny...so be careful. Sometimes you dont know where the original come from as it had passed through so many hands

mary hope you managed to get out but the weathers fairly hit and miss

Hope mum2one is having a good time, she and miss hoodie deserves some quality time

And now to what I`m upto, Im on my 3rd sewing machine........I got one never could get it to work and the instructions were foreign and we tried translating them but we didnt have a clue. So OH bought me a different one at christmas. Couldnt get that one to work either, thought it was me. Well friend came up from wales, couple of weeks ago and had a look at it and told me the 2nd sewing machine was broken. So I gave her the 1st sewing machine for her and OH took 2nd sewing machine back and got me a shiny new one.

Friend just telephoned theres bits missing off the 1st one!! that why I couldnt work it....lol.
The second one the tension was broken.
And in Aminute I`m going to try the 3rd one....wish me luck....

Ps these are all brand new machines....2 different makes......

    Hello all :j

susan - you're a brave woman tackling instructions for things mechanical..........I've been trying to fathom my digi camera these last few days and think I can work out how to take a photo but not how to delete one...........lol

What a couple of days I've had...........yesterday after rough nights sleep I woke with fuzzy head. Sons on the phone about grandsons birthday pressie..........Id asked him months ago for ideas and got nothing. So he gave me a few options....picked one out, ordered it and all was fine.............till I get an e mail saying there's a problem with payment on my card !! I rang the bank and after being passed from one to another I find out that my card was blocked for security/fraud checks. They'd written to me to let me know they said, obviously forgetting the jubilee bank holiday. Letter arrived late yesterday afternoon by which time they'd unblocked my card and I re-ordered. Son phones today, order arrived ok, not one but two of the wii game I'd asked for. Turns out the website had re-tried my card later in the day and it went through ok.........same time as I'd re-ordered. Wii game was all to do with lego star wars so I thought I'd order a similar card from Funky Pigeon. Found a card I liked, personalised it, all going well.........get to paying for it and everything goes through fine and gets stuck on the ''waiting for confirmation'' part. By this time I'm in state of panic...........grandsons birthday is Tuesday and he won't get it in time at this rate so I e mailed them about it wait for reply. In a dilemma what to do. I haven't got any ''boy'' stuff, let alone star wars to make a card, run out of ink so can't print an image off computer................and there was me thinking I was all organised with cards ! Not so. I'm sure I'll find a card of some description that I've done and it'll just have to do -I can't be doing with getting in a state over it but I must sort it tonight if I make one so it can be posted tomorrow. Ho hum..............such is life.

    Hope you're all ok:)
