Great challenge again, Mum2one, and thank you Miss Hoodie for a break in the cleaning lol. Too nice weather to be cleaning. I love the challenge of making something for less than a £1 and know what I want to make. I have put down sock monkeys on my list of presents to make this year, I need to make them for the three youngest nieces and the little nephew but have been putting it off. This has spurred me on to get on with them and as soon as I can get to the town (still waiting for flipping ladder to arrive) I will have a look and see what I can get. Hopefully they will have some in 99p shop.

As for sun lotion, I have some but would like to get another bottle of it. The one I have is factor 50 and it does the job but turns my skin white like a ghost. Think it is where I have such dry skin.

I have a list of people I need to send cards to, I will start buying a couple of stamps every time I go up the town so I can stock up.

Father's day I think will be sorted, my Dad likes to buy cds and dvds from Amazon so I will just tell him to choose one and I can get it with my Amazon vouchers.

As for me time, I spent the afternoon in the garden in the shade reading my Kindle. I have the whole weekend to my self too as OH is working so will be able to watch the Grand Prix in peace and spend a bit of time in the garden too.

    hello all :j

mum2one - thanks for the challenge. Thankfully I'm sorted with xmas and birthday cards and allways do the 2 for 1 when I post or send it with a pressie.
    Me-time =- I try and get plenty of that.......lol

Wardrobe needs sorting out - again ! Trying to find a t-shirt this morning that seems to have gone walk about..........next week I'll see if the cleaner will give me a hand sorting it all out.

Like the idea of the pressie challenge for £1. Have to get my thinking hat on for that;)

susan - do get a cleaner...........don't know how I'd manage without mine. I just have her for and hour, sometimes hour and a half but it makes so much difference. She does the bits I can't do. Dusting I can manage if I don't have to bend. I got mine from ageuk so know she's trustworthy.

Been enjoying the sunshine and the garden - grab it while its here...........hope you're all ok:)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Have a nice time Mum2one xx

Glad you had a good rest Susan xx

I actually went and did a bit of sewing this afternoon, my new tablets must be working as I had a bit more energy today than I have had the last few weeks. Started making a couple of bags, want two more for presents for the big nieces for Christmas.

Going up town tomorrow to have my eyes checked, dreading how much it is going to cost for glasses, hoping OH will help me out with them. I will have a look in the 99p shop and on the market stall and see if I can find some suitable socks for making sock monkeys while I am up there.

OOh, has everyone gone away with Mum2one lol??

I have finished off the two bags I was making, and made three sock monkeys too, just need to make them some clothes today. The ears went a bit funny as I was trying to sew all the bits together on the sewing machine instead of by hand like the last ones I did, it worked fine for all the other bits but the ears went like cauliflower ears lol. Still, I am sure the kids will like them. I will try to get some photos done later on to show you all.

Sat in the garden most of the afternoon while sewing the bits together and stuffing, was really nice out there for ages then all of a sudden I could hear a rumble of thunder so woke OH up and we took the laptops and things in but still no rain so sat out a bit longer under our shelter and all of a sudden it fell down. Never seen rain like it, was like someone was chucking bucket falls down. We sat there for about 15 mins not wanting to get wet running in doors but in the end we were even getting wet under the shelter so had to make a run for it. Were both soaked by the time we got in doors. Then about hour later it had all gone and sun was back out so we went back out again and had a BBQ lol. Stayed out till about 8pm.
