Afternoon all, sorry about big post but got my camera out this afternoon and took some photos of what I have been making, this is the boy sock monkey for my great nephew

This is one of the girl ones
This is the other girl one, they are for my two youngest great nieces
They were made from a pack of three pairs of socks which cost £2.50, the filling is from an old pillow which we don't use and the clothes are recycled from some of YD's old cast offs.
I also made these two bags for two of the bigger nieces0 -
Still waiting for my ladder to turn up, getting a bit fed up now, should be here by this Thursday keeping fingers crossed. Arranged to go out on Friday to see my friend as thought deliveries will all be here by then. Scales turned up today and they are faulty so guess what day they are going to pick them up and bring new ones??? Yes, Friday!! I did manage to weight myself on them though, have lost just over half a stone so very happy as its more than I had set out to lose, was hoping to lose 1lb a week and its been three weeks so far.0

Hello all :j
rufus - love the sock monkeys and the bags :T
Well what a day ! There was me being the 'domestic goddess' for a change.........one lot of washing on the airer outside.......another lot hanging on the line, up goes the line prop and down comes the washing !!! Washing line snapped in the middle..............washing nearly covered me ! I was so mad but had to laugh at myself. Washing did get dry in the end.........this afternoon first lot on the airer dried so second lot went on.........think thats nearly dry now.
So, due to all that carry on, not much else got done but did finish off a pack of painted notecards for the charity shop so not a totally wasted day.
OH wasn't too good yesterday but lot better today thank goodness.
Hope you're all ok...........you sound busy:)I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Hi y'all
As I'm out of the loop can someone enlighten me about one of mum2one's posts where she's arranging a buffet in a pub but also mentioned in a previous post about a wedding saga. Are the two connected?
Mary, as usual you are having fun and games of some kind, the washing this time. I hope you and OH are feeling better from the previous times I used to post.0 -

Hello all :j
Angela...........me and OH aren't too bad all things considered -''musn't grumble'' as they say. OH is the biggest worry (well he would be wouldn't he...........lol) He's got a hiatus hernia that has swelled up........gp says he needs surgery but hospital notes say further surgery not adviseable. Still, something has to be done so gp has referred him to a different consultant and he's got an appt in July. Till then its a case of ''keep taking the tabets''. He's been busy in the garden..maybe doing too much I think but after last year not being able to do anything he's making up for it. Least it gives him something to focus on and a bit of ''mind over matter'' helps with the pain I think.
rufus - meant to ask...........do you sell your bags anywhere.......like etsy or somewhere like that ? They truly are lovely and right up my street. I never see things like that in shops.....well not the few we've got anyway.
Not done much today.......surprise visit from our old social worker -lovely to see her after all this time. Plans for tomorrow, weather permitting are watching the parade through town for the jubilee and having a look at the flower arrangements on show in the church. Hope the weathers ok. So much work goes into these things
Hope you're all okI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

I have some of them on my Folksy shop Mary (there is a link to it on my blog). Not sure how many are still on there at the moment as I need to sort it all out, they changed everything about on there making it "better" and its a right mess. Where before the listings would run out if something had not been sold and it came up on your page showing you what needs to be relisted. Well now they have changed it and it not only shows what needs relisting but shows all what you have sold as well so I started relisting things the other night and then noticed one was a quilt which I had sold a long time ago, so checked and I had relisted two cushions that I didnt have anymore so had to take the whole lot off again and leave it until I have time to go through my whole stock and make a list of what I have. Its a right pain.0
