I wish we had a boot fair within walking distance. Our ones start Easter weekend so I am hoping OH will take us over on the Sunday.

My Oh goes to boot ever sunday morning. He came home with a framed picture this morning. Was buying it for the frame but I love the picture so we`re keeping it as is.

Rufus : sorry to hear about YD , Sam had one of those , they`re so painful I know from him

Mary hope you enjoyed the bootsale and got some good bargains.

We`re off to Cheltenham for the week. So hopefully I wont lose too much money, lol.

    Hello all :j

I managed the boot fair -well about third of it anyway.............couldn't walk any further especially knowing I'd got to walk back.
Didn't get much -hard to carry stuff with two walking sticks and OH has one. Anyway, got a lovely cushion for me for £1, toilet mat for downstairs loo - 50p, family history book - £1 (do for friends birthday) and a little wooden lady with min bucket and mop with label on saying 'this cleaner is on strike'...............lol Got a few similar on my dresser shelves so she's stood on there. Lovely day and I was so pleased I managed the distance I did. Next goal to achieve is getting on the bus and seeing my friend 7 miles away. Might manage that this week sometime when OH's delegating the work on his new veg plot - wood ordered to create sort of pergola effect, topsoil, stuff to be taken to the tip by man with a van (well trailer) - don't know what its all going to cost but the smile of OH's face when he's being so positive is priceless:)

    Hope you're all ok:)

    Hello all :j
Ache somewhat today...........not sure whether its the aftermath of the boot fair or the fact I got up in the night to go to the loo, bumped into the corner of the bed and ended up om my knees, clouting my elbow on the blanket box  (should have said a prayer or two while I was down there...........lol) Woke OH up with a shock.........still, nothing serious, just sore knees and elbow thank goodness. Might have helped if I'd put a new lightbulb in my bedside light and could see where I was going.............lol (memo to self before I go to bed..........light bulb moment !!)

Finished off another 'stitchery motto' and actually got a frame that'll do nicely so thats another pressie done for someone.
Gardener chap and his mate are coming up tomorrow to clear the rubbish out the garage. He brought the table and benches out today -needless to say we've had no sunshine...........and I must find the dark green material I salvaged last year from old door curtain.............got some cushions to cover for the garden seats that'll be more comfy than the wafer thin ones I ordered last year. Just hope its not all been thrown out in my mad de-clutter..............lol

    Hope you're all ok:)

Hope your knees and elbow are a bit better by tomorrow Mary, what a nuisance falling like that.

I spent the day sewing today. Made myself three more new tops from some fabric I was given (pics on my blog if your interested). I will be needing a new wardrobe before long. Had a look through and more than half my tops now are ones I have made myself. Certainly saving me some money doing them.

I'm out with ExMil tomorrow as she has doctors appointment and then probs all the rest of the day shopping.
